@ zwutz:
I read that to imply that her happiness level spiked during the period they were having their “study group”, which suggests everyone was very “involved” and having a good time. Probably something Larisa was making sure of. Succubus in some modern fiction aren’t necessarily evil, they just seduce people.
@ Nikary Flare:
To attempt to apply logic to a situation which requires none:
Larissa is in training. What is important at present is that she learns to manipulate people and increase their lust. Not so much about what they do with that lust, that will come later.
The Devil is happy for Larissa to practice with her friends without if affecting their immortal souls (Larissa may find out later, and he does not want her pissed with him).
@ Nikary Flare:
Strictly speaking, their job is to tempt others into sin. Assuming that John J. God or whoever replaces him considers polygamy a sin, Larissa is doing a great job!
@ Nikary Flare:
But then again, all the fun stuff is the “devil stuff”, rock music, videogames, all the other stuff, if it’s fun I’ve already heared some granny tell me I’ll go to hell for doing it cause it’s the devils music or devils toy or devils whatever.
As I said before, you should REALLY rename your comic into something like “Sandra and Schoolfriends” or whatever, because the ‘Woo’ and ‘forest animals’ component that made the comic really special is completely missing since… years? If I wanted just a comic with teen interaction, there is a gazillion of those on the internet – and there is nothing wrong with it. But what made YOUR comic special and different from others… well, see above.
Well, the Church is all about convincing you that Heaven vs Hell is Good vs Evil when actually, when you think about how Lucifer/the devil are depicted in the Bible, it is more about Law vs Chaos. And Chaos can be as evil as good.
the only reason Cristianity imposed itself as such a massive religion is because it was very tempting for the leader to adopt a religion that specifically say “obey your lord”
So God is a randomly selected human with twisted evil intentions and Satan is the truly immortal being who only wants humans toi be happy.
I am assuming you will be posting similar things about other faiths soon as well or is it just Christianity that you hate ?
But technically speaking, making people happy isn’t known to be Hell’s job…
That said, glad to see you feeling better!
Based upon how the christo-fascist conservative right-wingers have been behaving lately, (that stuff about the Southern Baptist Church alone is a horror story,) and how reluctant supposedly “good” god-worshippers have been in regards to condemning and organizing themselves in opposition to all that evil and misery, I’m honestly starting to feel that we got the entire dichotomy between Heaven and Hell completely wrong… I mean, at least The Satanic Temple actively strive towards increasing the net amount of justice and happiness in the world.
Eh, the Abrahamic religions kinda make it easy. Like, it’s effortless to mess with the format of Judaism/Christianity/Islam and get something more interesting for narrative purposes. Doesn’t help that there’s a lot in that gnarled knot of holy books that just does not actually function.
But, like, in order to twist the format of Hinduism or Buddhism, the other major world religions, you’d wind up overcomplicating a narrative more often than not. They’re also a bit less culturally ubiquitous in Europe/the US, so the references might just go over people’s heads in the countries a comic like this would be read.
Outside of that, you’re just wasting time trying to invert or play with more fringe religions, or basing part of your comic in a faith few (if any) people actively practice. You’re either going to trip on yourself or pigeonhole yourself into a highly niche category.
Essentially, it’s easiest to do this kind of thing with something common and understood by a given culture, and it’s entertaining to do when there’s one or two really simple things to mess with.
Heaven and Hell are all about motivation. Unhappiness is quite motivating if you have reason to believe that it can be resolved. So basically, to be motivated by unhappiness, you need to know happiness.
Another approach, though: On the one hand, Heaven is all about control – doing stuff you don’t care about to please beings who don’t care about you in exchange for a supposed but completely unknown reward that, according to the character of the forces involved, involves lots of control, self-righteousness and boredom. (Also, the rules are apparently flexible enough to fit pretty much any interpretation.)
On the other hand, Hell is all about self-actualization, enjoying yourself and rebellion against imposed control. It is also supposed to involve a lot of punishment, equally unknown but in part described by people working for the other side.
(The third hand is, of course, none of the above – which means life is just up to us – but that side seems to be lacking here).
So why do we trust the people who promise us rewards we won’t live to see, won’t see in life and who want to control us? Obviously, no one has any information and any “information” we get, we get from people who work for the controlling side as the supposed good side. We know they don’t take their supposed rules all that seriously themselves so they are known to be dishonest. Also, there are so many factions, that even if we accept that side and assume one of those factions to be correct, we have no way to choose the right one. They also offer no explanation other than common sense/societal rules (which we have anyway) and preferences of some “superior” being.
I can only conclude: If any of that is true, then none of the sides has my actual interests in mind. But as far as sides go, I would have to choose the one that empowers me. That at least isn’t known to be dishonest. That doesn’t subject me to random rules. And that isn’t led by some entitled bastard who thinks they can impose their likes and dislikes on anyone.
honestly, you got to chill – this is a silly comic with talking animals, not a moral lesson. also, we already got thor, some hindu/budism gods, that inca/maya one that got eaten by woo, and last but not least the racoon-goddess with the unspellable name 😉
For all the devil apologists, you should remember one thing. Devil hates humanity. He fell, because he refused to accept mankind as God’s most beloved creation (as opposed to himself. The “perfect” angel).
So he blames us for his own fuck up and you risk being stuck in the same jail with someone much stronger than you, who hates you beyond mortal comprehension.
If we go back to S&W august 11th 2011, , that might actually make sense. It would also make one wonder if Larisa’s father is the only “human” in the family. Then again, might just be a coincident…
But technically speaking, making people happy isn’t known to be Hell’s job…

You would never say the same about BLM Yusra-Khogali, Darrell Brooks, Frank James, who are all left wing and known for extreme racial hatred.
You would also not take to the streets and protest against IS or Hamas.
The problem is that you love ethnic prejudice as long as the culprits have the right skin color, religion and ideology.

Novil surely likes Christianity. But I doubt that he is very devout.
I don’t think his love for ‘Kevin’ aka the Devil is ill intentioned. It’s just shallow fun and not even aimed at Christianity.
But technically speaking, making people happy isn’t known to be Hell’s job…
That said, glad to see you feeling better!
Well, they are involved in pecaminous acts. If they are having fun they repeat again.
And when more people knows… well sinners government will be a fact (and no sinners will be mentioned in speaks about theorical concepts)
You didn’t even let Sandra and Larissa’s lips touch?
But technically speaking, making people happy isn’t known to be Hell’s job…

Is it just me, or does that one succubus look a bit like Larisa’s mother?
THAT’S how Sandra’s going to be hurt. Larisa’s getting hurt, I bet, thanks to her… whatever she has.
Oh no people are kissing and hugging. The kids are out of control!!!! That’s not BIOLOGY!!!! lol

That would explain much. @ The_Watcher: Also, good to see Novil is feeling better.
Good to see you’re back, Novil.
(Also, I can’t wait for this arc’s inevitable silly and funny resolution. My gut tells me a poly relationship is not the way this will end.)

Yay new comic, happy that Novil is better, and this also seems to be a happy ending for now 😉

dang, this is leet as heck
Larisa is clearly overqualified. Better glue your backside to that chair Lucifer!

Hey, you must be doing better, Novil. Glad to see it. You had us a little worried.
I’m just waiting for the hammer to fall.

(*PSST! Hey, Powree! How ’bout a cute little surprise “Welcome Back” art for Novil? 😉 )
Looking back at Jelena Korolev, I may have overstated the resemblance – it’s mostly the shape of the nose (reference being 0301 – a.r.t.V)
That succubus shes very hot looking i like what i see. we need more of that alot.
