- King Olrik I: Please excuse me for a moment.
- King Olrik I: The Academy demands a new trial!
- Eldor Olenvis: As I suspected.
- King Olrik I: What should I do now?! I don’t want another trial!!
- Eldor Olenvis: So reject their request. Problem solved.
- King Olrik I: And turn myself against the Academy!?
- Eldor Olenvis: Forget the Academy. It’s no longer useful for Cania.
- King Olrik I: How can you say such a thing?!
- Eldor Olenvis: Allow me to explain.
Ok, allow me to state the obvious, but I think we have our villain here. Seeing the position he’s holding and his influence on the king I’d say a lot of problems are going to arise very, very soon.
for some reason that last panel leaves me thinking of ask that guy w the glasses
Okay, that guy is just creepy.
Pointy ears, small eyes, severe haircut… Even the beard screams “I’m a villian”
No, never trust the man with the snake face!
This doesn’t look too good for anyone, I’m going to make the prediction that this “Eldor” guy is going to be the one to kill the king some time in the future. Don’t evil super-villains usually betray their nervous underling in most movies?
Finally a target! Watch for the little glowing red dot on his chest in the next comic… Too bad there are too many innocents around to go the SpaceBattles way and nuke him from orbit (it’s the only way to be sure).
Guess my opinion about the King was false. Now I say screw him. He’s still a caring guy obviously, but he did the wrong thing first, so he is now responsible, even if he decides to turn around and do the right thing later on. And this new villain looks kinda cool, really sneaky, and kinda girly. XD
@ illeatyourself:
Or is that guy an elf? He DOES have some really pointy ears! XD

So I see I’m not the only one noticing the “subtle” design details… XD But I think you forgot the cheekbones. Those cheekbones are so evil even Satan would kill for them XD
Dang.
There is a cat in that room somewhere, and as soon as he starts expositing it will jump into his lap for petting.
Something tells me Cania will end up being the evil empire when all is said and done.
Oh… snap.
This evil-looking man should actually end being a good and caring evil-looking man. Just for the sake of smashing stereotypes…
Oh, who am I kidding… He has long hair and a goatee… A goatee! There is no hope… 😉
ah, the villain makes his appearance…
could’ve been a bit more dramatic. heheh
You know earlier when Sandril first appeared he made it very clear that he did not like to be compared to his father, hence I’ve sort of gotten the suspicion that his father is a fairly bad man.
Could sharp-featured man be Saretro Sr? Come on, Sandril, who’s your daddy?
@ O-(-‘.’Q):
That’s a distinct possibility.. after all, according to the Cast page: “Sandril’s relationship with his father is… complicated, to say it in a positive manner. ”
Now, would Powree have given us that nugget of information without intending to have some exposition somewhere in the plot? 🙂
@ illeatyourself:
I doubt it. All the elves are sealed away with the third of the Tear of Gaia. Nobody’s seen one in a very long time. Still, I suppose it’s possible that one or two stayed behind.
I’m not convinced that this guy is the villain. Sure, he doesn’t bode well, but there’s no evidence he wants Lilith dead. The king’s the one who doesn’t want another trial.
NO! You are NOT allowed to explain! *This explanantion will self destrcut in two updates*
Woe to the king if they know enough to listen at doors.

Let´s hope they also have orchestra to play this 😀

When he turned around I felt like that was my cue to gasp in shock and say “It’s HIM!!” But… I have never seen this guy before.
Well. He does look evil I suppose. In that stereotypical way. (I’m not complaining by the way, I just like to analyze tropes and stereotypes in stories. It’s not something I will generally complement though.)

That guy may be at best half-elf looking back elven ears have dozen centimetres…
I just heard Simon Templeman’s voice. In my head.
Damn those elves! Told ya, you can´t trust dem pointy ears! I bet the´re behind tricking the dwarves into stealing the tear to get their folks all killed! D:
Also why the hell is that guy even outside from his homeland? i thought they surrounded the forest by some magical spell something so that no one can enter or leave?
And there he is! The Pointy Eared Bastard behind the throne!
Bah bum bum! *Theatrical music plays convincingly in the background!

Unless Elves depicted in visualisation of Illias´es story are what he imagined to be this guy´s ears are 10-20 centimetres too short…

Unless… Half-Elf?
It seems the villain in this plot has embodied the form of many Disney villains passed.
@ Landbark:
Haha, I kinda had a slight suspicion that she might be planning something like that, so when I saw that third panel I thought it could have been her for a split second …and then saw the beard and was like bah! ><
Weak Kings should have the decency to die early in their reign.
Why is he labeled “King Olrik I” in the box under the comic if we haven’t had a “King Olrik II” yet? You don’t really label someone as the first unless you had a second with the same name to come along to differentiate between the two.
When I saw this I said: “Uh oh…”
@ Pikadusk:
Maybe he’s like Pope John Paul I, who specifically named referred to himself as “the First” because he wanted to? (note: he’s the only pope to do so).
In other words, perhaps kingly idiosyncracy? It happened sometimes.
KILL HIM. KILL HIM NOW.
Seriously. If they could get away with it, killing the king’s adviser would be the best possible thing they could do.
O.O wow…evil elf…awesome!! 😀
but..I still wanna know if Ars is alive. :C
Actually between all these comments, I’m surprised nobody really thought about that he’s probably about to have an elaborate valid point concerning the whole matter. The acadamy just took a big hit with the sudden attack, especially to the important higher ups, and it’s not going to have a great recovery because people might not want to get involved in a place that spontaniously became the site of an attack, especially from one of its own students. That is to say, it’ll possibly be a shadow of its former self.
The fact of this being relavant to the trail of the girl~ the advisor might be taking the king’s words of ‘don’t want another trial’ as to mean that he doesn’t think she’s innocent either, and freeing her would merely be a notion for favoring. (or rather, NOT disfavoring) He’s not necessarily evil YET, but if not he’s certainly unempathic in nature at best ._.
@ Black Lightning:
Maybe not. Paeris Kiran made a good point. Elven ears were shown to be much larger than the ones Eldor has. More likely he’s just a sharp-eared human, is using fake elf ears to make the king think he’s an elf despite them being too small, or is a half-elf.
However, when I look closer, his face is strangely tall, more so than the elves we saw and more so than any human we’ve seen, so he might be something else entirely. For some reason, I can’t help thinking that his species has something to do with snakes.
@ Crystalwind:
He’s a Vampire!!!
@ andreas:
or elf villain?
That book! The fiend…he’s been reading ahead in the script this whole time!
Hellllooooooooo Evil Vizier! 🙂

Who says he won’t? Olrik doesn’t exactly look advanced in years.
And thus, the xoan ambassador is behind all this.
HAY GUYS, IM THE VILLAIN! YOU PROBABLY DIDN’T KNOW IT AT FIRST BECAUSE I’M SO SUBTLE!
Not only is he a cliché, but I think some of the top of his head is missing. XD
andreas wrote:
Yes, we already know the Elves are evil
Oh Crud, it’s Jafar!!!
(Also, “El-DOR” Olenvis…)
Oh no, it’s sitting-facing-the-window-in-a-dramatic-chair guy! Maybe he’s the villain.
@ Neospector:
Oh boy we got our villan Captian Genreal Evil.
