- Colette: “But don’t let this affect you. We can only succeed when we act with determination and focus.”
- Colette: “Even if your mission fails, we would like to ask you to come back to Greendew after it. You will be needed here.”
- Colette: “We will wait for you.”
- Colette: “With best wishes,<newline><newline>Milo and Salacea Torval”
- Viviana: Thank you, Colette.
- Viviana: I’ve already assigned Colette and Hilajon with the planning of the relocation to Greendew.
Depending on the size of the cave complex, it would be worth their while to hang onto it even after the relocation (assuming the teleport spells work over such a distance) as it could prove useful if push comes to shove. Besides which, we’ve still got the mystery of the impenetratable door (which is in the process of drafting a letter to Mr. Chekhov demanding a reappearance).
All being well, they’ll have a few new people joining them (after all, regardless of how the mission goes, Ilias and Alissa very likely won’t be safe in Cania afterwards, and if it’s a success there’s little doubt Lilith will want to return to Ileasaar).
Meanwhile, the Glossary now contains some interesting information on Greendew…
I don’t want to alarm anyone, but I think Hilajon (the guy top-right) might be the the same guy who killed Ars!
My proof: Well…you see…they have the same…beard?
Alright, I know it’s far-fetched, but I have been on lookout for that guy, and Hilajon is the only one(so far) that looks like him. And I was thinking that it wouldn’t be unlikely that Eldor might have a mole in the Shadowdancers feeding him information. Especially since he has an interest in Sal.
@ Mr_Nabby:
Hmm….Ars’s killer’s beard looks red to me, while Hilajon’s beard is blond. I don’t think it’s him.
Can someone help me with the politics in this story? I’m not very good at following… 😛
@ Mr_Nabby:
He does fit the bill now does anyone know who San and her sister are?
Colette: “Even if your mission fails, we would like to ask you to come back to Greendew after it. You will be needed here.”
Colette: “We will wait for you.”
Colette: “With best wishes, Milo and Salacea Torval”
Colette: “P.S., Bring the Avaril!”
Colette: “P.P.S., We really mean it, definitely bring that back with you!”
Colette: “P.P.P.S., Not to infer that it’s in any way more welcome or important than you yourselves, of course, but have you seen what the RUMOR of its recovery has done here? Well of course you haven’t, because you aren’t here yet to see how awesome it is.”
Colette: “P.P.P.P.S., You should really hurry up and come here. Just saying. With the Avaril of course.”
Colette: “P.P.P.P.P.S., It’s totally awesome. <3 <3 <3"
I’m on the edge of my seat waiting for Viviana to continue the speech anyone else?
I really want to see the point of view of the red mages and I really hope its not a ‘herpaderp Im evil’. We’ve seen them murder a bunch of academy students and we’ve seen the king’s aid murder 3 blue mages. At the very least I want to see viviana’s crew take on a bunch of red mages.
Viviana may want to be a bit cautious here. Salacea is apparently the strongest claimant to Ilesaar’s throne, but Chereck said that Viviana having the Avril around her neck will put her claim into peril. Viviana has a breather until she tries to free Lili, but after that it’s time for her to keep a watchful eye on both her enemies and her friends.

Well, the 25¢ explanation is that the Shadowdancers consider themselves Ileasaaran (Ileasaarii?) freedom fighters. Ileasaar was a free country that was conquered about ten years ago by Cania and lies between Cania and Midgard — the two largest nations on the planet. Greendew is the capitol of Ileasaar.
If you wish more details, I highly recommend you click on the Glossary and the Setting links above.

He’s not.
@ Mr_Nabby:
He is Hilajon and seen 2 times for this at http://www.sandraandwoo.com/gaia/2012/06/12/shadowdancers-024/ and http://www.sandraandwoo.com/gaia/2013/08/27/the-tower-in-the-sky-034/
and i think the killer is looks older.
@ Sambo:
Red? Ars is red, that goatee is not red at all. With the lighting and shadows they are giving him, I definitely think it could be blond.
But not red. And human hair “red” is more orange and even then it doesn’t resemble that.
@ Novil:
There we go. Problem solved.
When they say relocate I picture them mass teleporting the whole complex over to another cave system. Whith this ‘distraction’ they are building I wouldn’t be surprised if they’ve found a way to reverse port Everything to a preset other location.
This letter thing feels like such a big trap it should come with a picture of Admiral Ackbar.
I’m just saying that abandoning this apparently secure and awesome base and potentially exposing all the shadowdancers in the process is a step that should require more debate than “oh, we got this letter asking us to come”.
Colette is too cute ! <3 <3 <3
~~ That is all.
Apparently I’m the only one paranoid enough to think that perhaps Vivianna forged the letter. (She has the steady hands, the mind, and very possibly the skill for it) She has a lot to gain by getting ‘support’ from their home country.
But I’m probably being paranoid. There are too many fallacies to take it seriously… yet.
@ Mage of Chaos:
your premise would have some note if Vivianna wanted to be queen of her homeland, but she has stated she considers someone else the best woman for the job.
I have no doubt the little trinket would ‘magically’ end up around the woman’s neck if Vivianna has any say in the matter.
@ Mage of Chaos:
What purpose would there be for her to forge the letter? The ShadowDancers already support her completely
“What!!! But me and my sister started double-” *speaker gets knocked unconscious*
