Ask Novil questions about Gaia

Do you have any questions about Gaia? Then post them in the comment section of this post. I will try to answer all questions which I do not consider to be relevant for the future plot.

Novil already answered this in one of the above responses. The Golem that was “accidentally” activated was really part of the final.
I presume the reason we don’t see Lilith and Alissa helping is because Novil skipped that part and cut away immediately to several hours later at the Graduation Dance. We don’t get to see their response.
I wouldn’t worry about it, though. Since Lilith graduated top in her class, we have to assume the two of them did all right. 🙂
What I would really like to know is if you still consider Ilias as the main character, I really liked him in the beginning of the comic, then we didn’t see much of him, although I disagree with the other guy saying Ilias’ role diminished, If I recall his was the idea to rescue Lillith at any cost, would love to see more development on his part.
The one question I wonder about: Why/when/how did Jael pick up the monicker “Viviana”, and why does she think of herself as that?
Does mithril in this world function more like that in LotR or D&D?
For clarification, in LotR, it is incredibly strong and incredibly easy to enchant. In D&D, it is merely titanium.

My wife’s grandmother came to the U.S. during the second World War and said she remembered the moment when she realized she started thinking in English instead of German, having left much of her family in Germany and not having many German speakers to converse with. I think she said she was annoyed by that fact, but do you think in German, English, or a mixture, like you say you sometimes compose? And does it annoy you, fascinate you, or what else do you think about it?
Since my last question was not really related to Gaia, how about these:
Concerning the extra bit “after” the final exam (saving the person from the escaped golem) is very similar to an episode of Star Trek: The Next Generation (“Coming of Age” – Season 1, episode 19), where Wesley Crusher saves a person being crushed by a pipe. Fisrt, was it in any way inspired by that, or was it purely coincidental? Second, are you a fan of Star Trek? (not necessarily a “Trekkie”)
Also, Ars – and it seems other imps as well – have a propensity to speak using future tense, regardless of what a human speaker might use to make the same statement. This would imply they have trouble with emulating or learning human language, but they seem to have no trouble using contractions (at least in English)… was this intentional? If not intended, do you find it a little strange in any way? Do you have an explanation? Will this be a cause of miscommunication that leads to a plot point?
