Merry Christmas everybody!
@ BlackDragonSlayer:
You’re late.
What a conveniently-timed spell…
The Satellite Death Kill Beam is never your friend.
Well, at least San’s DOOM BEAM is being useful *somewhere*
Sandril isn’t thinking. Given the position in in Panels 1 & 3, the right move at this point would be to knee the cultist in the crotch. That should distract him long enough to gain control of the weapon.

I don’t think Sandril is THAT bendy, given how the cultist’s crotch seems to be pressing on his lower belly… But Sandril could definitely use his legs to seize the initiative here. I’m thinking shifting his right leg as far right as comfortable then pushing to throw the cultist to (Sandril’s) left.

But the enemy of my nonfriend IS my friend!
And this would be Eldor screwing with San and the aftermath, yes?
@ Uhl:
Pretty much. The beam in the background has to be San’s spectacular, but futile, attempt at killing Eldor with a giant pillar of light. She is still up and fighting, but she will collapse in a few seconds.

You should try to include the saying “payment” as a part of your internet marketing strategy. Whether it be a buy one obtain one cost-free selling, or shipping and delivery, that term pops out at customers and might be the difference between them buying something and merely searching about your site.

In case you have apnea, try out resting in your corner. When you are a back or belly sleeper, gravity is operating towards everyone nighttime. Your airway is more prone to collapse should you be going through straight up or down. Getting to sleep in your favor instead makes it easier for your body to maintain your airway as you may rest.

@ OneTimeCommenter:
Unfortunately, that is kinda risky. The wrist isn’t a good leverage point for throwing- he’d need to grab the elbow or shoulder instead, potentially allowing him to be stabbed. More immediately practical in this scenario- if his opponent does become distracted and ease up a little- would be to grab the blade of the knife (thumb side towards his own chest) and then rotate his wrist so that the knife is pointing straight up. In effect, this should peel the knife from the attacker’s hand.
Hint, in that situation maybe you can hold the other arm, but if you move it to the sides and let it go down, your oponent wouldn´t react in time

Hey, it’s the Generic Blue Sky Beam. It seems to resemble the one with Eldor, so perhaps this is taking place at the same time?
@ Ben:
Mayhap use reply rather than quote to mark a spam post, if you feel it necessary.
Threat to progress detected. Lili must remain focused. Protection activated. Eldor summoned.
Or are they close enough to the other activity to see the blue stream flashover?
Arg! I “hate” action scenes ’cause I always really need to see the next page soon…
The would-be victors appear to be more easily distracted.
I suppose that makes sense. There’s not much that’s more important than a knife slowly advancing on one’s throat, after all.
(That shouldn’t _really_ make sense since _everyone_ in this scene is fighting for their lives. But knives on your throat probably _feel_ more dangerous than being distracted and then getting stabbed with your own knife. It’s more obvious.)
There are no captions today?
@ Silhalnor:
But the cultist mage is distracted as well, perhaps Dyson can use that to his advantage and then help Sandril, after all magic requires more concentration than a knife so a distraction would be more advantageous.
I was just thinking, “Lilith to the rescue!”
I am still having a Deus Ex moment here.

Actually, the traditional calendar Christmas STARTS at Christmas, and continues until Epiphany (12 days later).
Merry Christmas! Also, this beam of good tidings is about to save them. Or disintegrate them. Ho ho ho, and such.
@ ktrimbach:
That’d be my guess, too. After all that’s her brother and her boyfriend here …

Sorry, I guess my terminology isn’t up to par for a few reasons. I didn’t mean for Sandril to do much anything with his hands – save for keeping the dagger away from his chest – but for him to thrust up with his pelvis, using the bent knee for leverage arm. At that point he has the strongest muscles of his body working against nothing but the weight of the archer. They appear to be about the same weight so Sandril should be able to put meaningful force into the thrust. Even if Sandril failed to dislodge him completely he should fall severely off balance, giving Sandril more options and the initiative.
As for grabbing the knife, even if the archer should get so distracted that Sandril can work his left hand free it is still a bare hand. Grabbing a probably very sharp blade with a bare hand isn’t a winning move in my books, though that would make for some spectacular show fighting.
That’s the light ray from San vs Eldor, right?
Nice way to show us the temporal context.

When I posted that, I’m pretty sure it was still Christmas everywhere in North America, or at the very least, the west coast.
@ BlackDragonSlayer:
Read the timestamp.
Commentary Ver.2.72 wrote:
Pretty sure the timestamp is in German time. For me, on the west coast, this page was posted on Monday, not Tuesday.
@ BlackDragonSlayer:
I know. As far as time stamps are concerned, you’re late. Christmas was monday, this comic updates Tuesday.
