- Shadow: Hey Sid. Did you know that squirrel meat contains polyunsaturated fatty acids and its nutritional value is equivalent to that of a rump steak?
- Sid: Uhm… no. But it’s… uhm… good to know, I guess.
- Shadow: Yep, squirrel meat gives medium-sized carnivores the power and endurance they need to survive the winter.
- Sid: I’m getting the feeling you want to say something to me…
- Sid: … namely: “RUN!!!!!! While you still can!”

“Would you like frieze with that squirrel, sir?” 😀
This is looking rather odd, considering the only reason Woo didn’t eat Sid was because Shadow intervened… considering Woo already considered him a snack, I wonder what his reaction will be?
lol, RUN SID RUN!!
…I get the feeling Woo’s gonna mediate…
Woah, this is weird. I love Sid’s nervous look in the second panel.
After panel 3: SUSPENSE!!!
Woo’s expression is priceless XD
IF one could eliminate the need for hunger and IF the instinct to hunt could be supressed right after birth, THEN the animal kingdom might truly be a peaceful one.
Alas, the world has a strange need for good and evil. Chalk it up to supressing the numbers from becoming overwhelming on the plant supply and reducing the whole equasion of life to near nothingness, I suppose. Our world is wonderously complex.
But…yea…that fox has a bizarre concept of ‘best friends’. “Best friends to the end, dear snack.”
Suspense…just saw it. Note Woo’s “square” under the arm. Bet it’s food.
“This is looking rather odd, considering the only reason Woo didn’t eat Sid was because Shadow intervened”
Well, isn’t it obvious. Shadow was saving him for later snacking.
Sid, now might be a good time to remind the Shadow that mice would be a tastier/healthier snack.
Hee, hee, you always gotta wonder when someone starts giving you your nutritional value…
Well, foxes are noted for their cleverness and intelligence. Keeping one’s food fresh and fattening nearby is a clever idea! =^^=
? frieze ?
I think Lax meant “fries.” The Shadow probably wouldn’t eat artwork, no matter what it depicted.
I wonder if he just wants to scare Sid for fun.
Will woo step int on intervene on behalf of his friend?
Or will it be like, “look, if I can’t eat him, then you can’t eat him either”
“Wanna split it?”
Hmm… I’m thinking practical joke, or Shadow is having trouble suppressing his instincts at the moment and will snap out of it after a long Tom-and-Jerry-esque chase scene.
I’m thinking someone is dreaming. Either a nightmare or a pleasant dream, depending on who it is.
Heh. Reminds me of the jokes my sister used to play on me all the time. Loving Sid’s expressions here! I like how this series isn’t just confined to one area or another, but freely jumps through human areas and forest areas.. kinda like raccoons in themselves. Always a pleasure to see an update.
Friendship nibbles all around!
I think this is my favourite strip out of all the ones you’ve done so far.
“will snap out of it after a long Tom-and-Jerry-esque chase scene.”
Chase…scene???
One fox paw has the squirrel by the scruff of the neck. The other has lassoed the hind legs and stretched out the squirrel. It’s a firm hold and the squirrel can do little more then claw the air before becoming a strange kind of burrito.
While I highly doubt that we got a squirrel introduced, only to off it a few weeks later, (As the quote line of this comic suggests isn’t going to happen) that line of ‘Run while you still can’ implies two meanings. One; “I don’t want to do this. But, my instinct demands otherwise.” Two; A bad joke and/or life lesson.
That squirrel was too trusting, anyhow. He needs to lose some of that trust and rely on only himself.
How how can Woo marry her if the fox eat him ?
I mean her.
O_o
Well…
1) Sid, the squirrel, isn’t the love of Woo’s life. That would be the femme fatale raccoon that just happened to walk into his line of sight…right along with three other courting males.
2) Sid might just possibly have been Woo’s meal. (Though, if you ask me, Woo wasn’t serious about it to begin with. Just my opinion.) But, Sid referenced the fox (whom is now licking his chops and talking like he’s losing his highly refined mind.) as a best friend and won back his freedom.
3) I still say that Woo is holding the “key” to this situation…probably food.
Also, you had it right when you said “him”. Sid’s a guy.
The dialogue/script is in German a bit, there.
Thanks for the notice.
Lol woos face is like.
“Hmp” Like its a normal thing lol.
Is Shadow a female or male? It’s impossible to tell, though Shadow seems like a girl name.
Sids face in panel 2: priceless.
I don’t blame him…Everyone gets a little crazy when they’re hungry. Snickers anyone?

… Might it be the COLOUR?
I guess Shadow ran out of other squirrels to eat.
Well, Shadow IS warning Sid, like a good friend, right?
Forest Fuzzies are Friends, Not Food!
Unless, of course, you are hungry. Then they are delicious.
