The current story arc started with this strip: Addicted.
This excerpt from the Cast page should explain Larisa’s strange behavior:
Larisa Korolev is […] a prime example of the chaotic neutral alignment of various roleplaying game systems and likes to set inanimate objects on fire.
- Principal: You need to understand that blah blah blah blah blah prevention blah blah blah blah blah
- Principal: Blah blah social responsibility blah blah blah blah blah blah Mexican drug cartels blah blah blah blah… uhm, what the…
- Principal: ……
- Principal: I know you’re going through a difficult phase, but setting the school on fire won’t solve your drug problem.
- Larisa: Darn! Such a pretty bonfire. Ruined.

After thinking about it for a while, it occurs to me that making a trash can fire was actually one of the smartest and well-adjusted thing she could do here. When the local authority is ranting about your insulin medication, that is a pretty clear indication that the local authority structure is defunct, and pyromania is about as good as any other option. At least you have something pretty to watch while the world crumbles around you.

It’s official.
I think I just found the one person in the world who’s totally like me… Now I just need to find another REAL person who enjoys a nice, unchecked fire ^^
I had a friend who argued convincingly for a corralation between diabetes and schitzophrania, both of which he sufferd from. He argued that loss of insulin in some brains causes the delusions. By the way, is the principal related to Dilbert’s boss?
Larisa’s awesome.
I don’t even know how their conversation suddenly went to Mexican drug cartels.

He’s trying to justify the War on Drugs™, and is obviously not bright enough to realise that cartels are a direct result of prohibition, just like when alcohol was prohibited in the 30s, with no more success.
Also, how come that tiny little fire set off the smoke alarm when the principal lighting up didn’t? I always thought that cigarette smoke was much more potent than relatively clean burning paper.
This idiot clearly has no idea wtf insulin is -.-
And this is another case where the principal is clearly wrong. Because of his administrative policies, setting the school on fire is the most cost-effective way to solve the problem.
Pyromania!
