The current story arc started with this strip: Two Pieces of Cake.
I know that the correct spelling is “But that doesn’t matter.” in the second panel. But I’m trying to make the dialog sound more natural, so I’ll include errors like this once in a while in the future. (Update: Okay, some readers don’t seem to like it that much, so this will probably the first and last time I did it.)
- Cloud: There we go! Soon the nuclear warheads will be in safe hands again.
- Cloud: Do you think the thieves hid their booty down there somewhere?
- Sandra: No. But that don’t matter.
- Sandra: Because I’ve already found the most precious thing.
- Sandra: Look, my missing favorite earrings! They were in a side pocket of my backpack.

hey; about the don’t thing, its improper but some people actually talk like that. But to take a character thats been using proper grammer then changing it up…. makes it seem odd and out of place. Like when someone you know starts talking with a different accent; it doesn’t quiet seem right.
I would’ve reacted the same if that happened to me Cloud.
@ gamerjoel135:
Pyromaniac, not psychopath. Even that label is probably not justified, since pyromaniac implies an inability to resist lighting fires, and we’ve only seen her set fires when it’s safe to do so. She just thinks fire is pretty, which is hardly that unusual a thing.
The comic says “Because I’m holding the most precious thing in my hand right now” but the transcript says “Because I’ve already found the most precious thing.”, is this an error?
what a anticlimax
@ Pyre:
No in this case its just a dire rat
I didn’t even notice the mistake the second time I read this comic.
After the secret has been revealed (several hundred strips later) and seeing Sandra’s non-reaction, I would guess that at least Sandra (and probably Cloud too) already knows Larisa’s secret here. They most likely simply don’t talk about it.
*facepalm* it was a good pickup line then sandra ruined her own chances.
Poor Cloud. He thought she was talking about him. LOL.
