For April fools Powree drew the following short animation of Sandra dressed up as Sandy the Third, empress and supreme ruler of Northia. She’s spinning her scepter to Beatnick’s techno version of the Finnish folk song Ievan Polkka sung by the band Loituma. (see also: the Wikipedia article about the Loituma Girl internet meme)

It’s not a “joke” in the strict meaning of the word. It’s our version of the popular Loituma girl internet meme.
Ah, I get it. Cute, very cute. 🙂 The song is very catchy.
I’d like to ask for a permanent link on the left or right panels, so that as you post more news, this awesomeness does not become lost. Some way to access this easily without having to go through the old news pages months down the road. 🙂

Funny, I’m from Finland and I must say that there’s not much words in this song xD until in the end where’s more :DD
Goes like this in Finnish:
“Ievan äiti se kammarissa
virsiä veisata huijjuutti,
kun tämä poika naapurissa
ämmän tyttöä nuijjuutti.”
and translation is something like this:
“Ieva’s mom in her bedroom sang hyms, while this boy had fun with her daughter next door”
