Oooo I wonder who will reach the knife first! And My mind is racing with possibilities for the stabbing. What is he hiding?
Panel 5 = some of your best work yet. Keep it up!
Don’t use the names of famous people when writing comments.
Knowing what Cloud is capable of I guess it doesn’t matter who reaches the knife first. I wonder- why complicate your life and stab a cop? He must have left some ID or info at the police station anyway..
I bet Ye Thuza will stomp on his hand before he gets the knife and then scold Cloud for being so careless. Or Cloud, being the ninja he is, will grab his wrist as he swings his knife. The leap by Cloud was epic too!
Ack! WHEN is the next update????
Guess. 😉
Awesome action scenes: that’s what I’m loving most in this arc. 😀
Most action I have seen in this comic, love it. Another possibility is neither of them reach the knife, maybe cloud just knocks him unconscious.
Bahahmut: One
Teenage Punk: Zero
I’m guessing the Bahamut reference in the name of the maneuver is because it involves swooping down out of the sky to decimate the opposition. 😉
No Cloud, you’re supposed to shoot a laser out of your mouth!
Aw yeah Ye Thuza be gettin’ her ninja runnin’ on in panel 2.
Also I love how this is put together comic-book style. The panels, and the onomatopoeia, and the cool acrobatic stunts really fit in well with the theme that Ye Thuza and Cloud have established right now. It’s so cool!
Nice jump!
Ooo, I’m gonna be so upset if cloud messes up and gets stabbed. Please let him pwn the punk. xD;
OOooh! Butterfly knives are illegal to possess in some locales too.
Fine action scenes here.
WHEN is Hit-boy actually gonna HIT someone? Please let it be in the next comic. Seriously, assaulting an officer deserves it.
I remember one time in the bus a man got stabber by behind for triying to stop a robbery, in the end of the day a lady losed her money and a men lose his life, stories like that happens all the time so plese do not do this at home kids.
SPOILERS!!!!! CLOSE YOUR EYES!!! DO NOT READ!!! PLEASE I WARN YOU!!!
DO NOT READ GO TO THE NEX COMIC!!! WELL HERE IT IS…
And by now you should know that in Kick-Ass Big daddy lied about everything, his briefcase was full with comicbooks he just was a common salary man and his wife was not dead but divorced, Hit-Gir returned to her mom but the damage was done. That is why I feel more simpathetic with Brandon than Ye Thuza and Cloud, but thats me anyway
I just saw the movie, last night. Which gives me a focal point on this series. That movie weirded me out. It was so dark, when I kept drifting back to expecting light. So weird.
do i detect a payoff from when his mom made him do the jump from kick ass he thught was a special effect? i think i do 🙂
As for me, this arc is too long. It was complete on 186.
They are illegal in California. Hey, where is Sandra and Woo suppose to take place at anyway? USA, Europe, Northia?
Guy is lucky Cloud doesn’t have a Plastic Knife, else he would be even more screwed
hmmm he can get a cool looking scar outa this
It’s the US, but he’s never actually said a state, as far as I remember.
Gerardo Tejada, you are citing the comic because in the movie, Mindys moms is really dead and in the end Big daddy’s old cop partner becomes her legal guardian.
He had all those comic books because he himself made them out of his obsession for revenge.
This arc is based off the movie Kickass where they didn’t have that twist since it would ruin the flow of the story like they did in the comics.
Cloud! Hero Lesson #243: Don’t set yourself up for ironic twists!
ha it’s just like a comic book!
wait a minute…
Ooooh… more drama!
You mean the tall thin one that says *THUD* ? 😀
god, I love your humor XD
knife = smal sword
going with sword on cloud = not the brightest idea you had today
damn, my previous comment went to the wrong place….-__-
Wow! I love all of the action in S&W lately. I bet when Sandra finds out, she’s going to be kinda mad that Cloud basically risked his life like that. That, or she’s going to be really impressed that he’s so tough and brave. Or both! 😀
Northern midwest, according to the About page, IIRC. I’m going to guess wet of the Mississippi, east of the Rockies, and no further south than Nebraska or Iowa. Minnesota or the Dakotas seem most likely, though Montana is also a real possibility.
NOO NOT CLOUD
Dude. Don’t go for the knife. This is an exceptionally AWESOME kid, and he will not hesitate to summon Ye Thuza for an Omnislash.
Im secretly hoping he gets stabbed (non-lethal of course), would make for a better story then the the “Good guys win easily with little personal consequences” as alot of storys tend to follow.
i think something like this will happen thug uses doink atack fails
or thug uses doink cloud goes to hospital
Unless they’re going for the strong Sterling North reference, in which case it would be in Wisconsin. Until proven otherwise, that’s what I’ll believe. Badger State FTW 😀
It is insane how much Cloud looks like Robin in this comic.
From the cast page:
> Sandra North is an 11 year old girl who is living with her father Richard in a town in a rural area in the north of the United States.
I was assuming Germany, but why not.
Cloud was so Batman right there.
Looking forward to next week’s comics, this has been quite suspenseful.
Stab stab stab!!
Panel 5 (the jumping Cloud panel) is really amazing, and I agree his costume is reminiscent of Robin… but given the Raccoon tie-ins for S&W I keep thinking he’s “Raccoon-boy”. Which I half think Sandra would think is cute… costume-wise. She thinks Woo is cute, after all.
Even if she’s too mad and worried to appreciate it, surely Woo would approve of the bandito mask.
What’s this Bahamut one stuff? I don’ get it. XP
Didn’ see too many action shots like this in an online comic. Great job man congrats, keep it up! 😀
See Cloud? That jump wasn’t a special effect. =P
Well also the comic started with Kick-Ass being electrocuted in his family jewels, but in the comics the flow of the story was allright even better than the movie, not that the movie was bad they are two diferent things.
Its like you pretended to judge the work of Alan Moore by the movies “From Hell” “League of extraordinary gentelmen” “V for Vendetta” and “Hellblazer” these are crapy movies with From Hell and Vendetta being the most well made. I love Kick-Ass the movie because it doesnt disapoint the comic but the original work has so many ventages
Actually, at least as the media is concerned here in the U.S., the “Midwest” refers to the block of states surrounding the Great Lakes. Only the afore mentioned Minnesota and Wisconsin are considered part of this region, with states like Michigan, Ohio (my home), and Illinois getting the most attention demographically speaking. As far as most Atlantic coast dwellers are concerned, anything west of the Mississippi is considered full “West.” (Though the what you considered to be Midwest would be called the “Plains States” or even “Flyover Country” in the media.)
Myitkyina
Haha, I have no idea how you correctly pronounce the names of the Burmese cities I’m referring to in my strips.
My dad flew in there toward the end of World War II. He said something like, “Mitch in aw,” but that’s Burmese as perhaps spoken in Oklahoma.
Am I the only one here who thinks that cloud looks like Hit Girl?
