So There are a couple of things needed to be explained, First Animals Stop in front of Cars Because 1. They have never seen them before. 2. The lights confuse them 3. Instinct So that explains why Hazel got…..hit 🙁 Next the Other Squirel? Who do you think it is? Its Obviosly Sid I mean who else? I mean The guy who draws these said that Hazel was Pregnant in the suitcase And dont tell me its sids father HE is back in france so HOW would he get to AMERICA? Fly? Teleport? Ride the Hasselhoff? And that Fox,wolf,pine marten or Whatever is NOT shadow look back at the other Pics of shadow……Look alike? I think NOT. And Lastly, Its a Comic ALOT of things are Stretched…Like sid growing up….Unless, Heres my theory, Hazel needed help from another Squirrel to get food look after baby sid.ETC and Got help, He (Asuming he is male) Tripped, Fell, Hazel tried to save him but a car came and the car hit hazel. Other then that i think its just the stretched time period.

He totally rode the Hasselhoff xD (not that I think it’s Sid’s father)
I just thought of this… Who’s the father? Would make a neat addition to the story.

I like how everyone just assumes the worse!
If the car is going around a sharp curve, as indicated by the sign in the second panel, it shouldn’t be going much faster than 25mph (40km/h). Given the relative size of the vehicle compared to Hazel in the third panel, there is still plenty of distance to stop between the car and her.
I’m personally worried about the baby getting snatched up by that marten!
