The current story arc started with this strip: A New Adventure.
The calm before the storm.
Have you already read the blog post about our Sandra and Woo fanart contest? The winner will receive $100, and the four runner-ups will receive another $100!
Since there’s not much happening in today’s comic, here is the draft for the first page of Gaia as a little bonus:
- Harvey: I’m going to walk upstream for a bit so the others can spot us more easily. You stay here until I’m back! Got it!?
- Sandra: ’kay.
- Larisa: Aye-aye!
- Harvey: What’s taking them so long?
- Group leader: Call me as soon as you see somebody!
- Kayaker: I will.

Now that the deluge has stopped, I see a dove. Noah must be checking to see if there’s any dry land yet.
After four hours they start a search party? Hmmm, must have been a really, really bad storm, or they’re all rookies, or something.
I bet that Harvey will be found last
Hi guys, I’m back! after a week with no internet I can finally say…
My prediction is right? wow….
Well, I see that Harvey decided to leave the party to look for the rescue team, so the quartet is alone in the wilderness? maybe it is time for that bear to appear…
And the rain is stopping, every minute passed the land will getting drier and drier, and a certain someone with fire elemental skill can harness her power to the fullest…
Wait… fire? sword fighter? singer? animal?
Cloud : Swordsman
Larissa : Black Mage
Sandra : Bard? Red Mage?
Woo : Cait Sith
I have a bad feeling that the animal Larisa whacked with her celly’s gonna come for revenge…
I’m hoping that whatever growled doesn’t come down for revenge
Foreshadowing…
The only smart person in a whole party is Cloud – he is the only one with facial expression that doesn’t show any positive emotions about Harvey leaving. Though maybe he just has a bad feeling about things to come next =D
Also I believe the one to meet the bear would be Harvey, as poor animal has no chances to win against Sandra party.
Side note: Spread the word to all bronys that this website is now 20% cooler!
Bloody hell, will it ever stop raining? This camping trip has been very poorly planned out indeed.
I find rain calming, it’d probably make trying to get rescued easier for me, give me a calm mind, you know?
Harvey leaves the party!
Back-up squad comes!
—-Prediction—–
Harvey encounters Bear x2!
Harvey [Attack] [Magic] [RUN] <—–
Sit through 4 hours of rain without hood.
put hood up when rain stops.
brilliant, Harvey >.<
Little did the head of the rescue party know, the member he told to call him has a dead battery
i cannot wait for that important comic which will completely reveal what this importance this storyline has. i understand that the makers have their own lives to attend to, but i don’t want to wait!
@ Blitz:
I think that’s a sea-gull, which is also speaking for the amount of water that rained down before…
either that or the sea is close… I don’t think it’s the latter since there’s still forrest.
Wait a second. Didn’t they take a wrong turn at the river?
So in case the Kayaker actually takes this route he might get lost as well and in case he’s taking the other route he’ll paddle past Harvey without even seeing him.
Or maybe the battery of his cell phone died too. Of course he’ll notice this after taking the other turn on the river and damaging the kayak on the stones in there.
And Harvey might run in what ever Larisa had hit with her cell phone…
Maybe it was bigfoot.
Woo: “Hey, Bigfoot old friend! Long time not seen!”
Sandra: “Wait, what?!”
finally the plot is starting to go somewhere
I just noticed that Sandra and Cloud have the same design shirt, though hers is a long sleeve. I wonder if they’re the same color, you know how dating people do sometimes when they connect on those deep levels. 🙂
Not usually a good idea for the party to split up. Lets hope Harvey doesn’t slip on a wet rock and tumble into the raging water and disappear….
Love worse case scenarios 🙂
@ ninja:
It’s not like the comics come within five minutes of each other. You have to wait a couple of days, just like ANY other storyline with ANY other webcomic.
Don’t. Split. The. Party. (old adventuring rule)
Cloud seems to be the only one to realize that, when Harvey leaves. At least his face is the only one that’s not looking all to happy. His mom trained him well.
Lemmo-
Long time reader, first time caller. Huge fan of your work, ever since a friend introduced me to Lethal Doses back in high school. These days, I’m still in high school, but on the other side of the classroom.
After a rough night, I got up this morning intending to send off an email to my school’s secretary saying that I wouldn’t be coming in to work today. But my Thursday morning schedule demands that I first check Blank It, so I did so. Generally, I don’t check the comments, but I’m glad I did today. See, I’ve been in a bit of a slump myself. Part of me was wanting to take the day off because I’m tired and still feeling sick from a lingering cold, but more of me just didn’t want to work today. But after reading your post here, I decided that if you can man up and keep working during a slump, so can I.
As a teacher in the logical sciences, I often make fun of the arts. So I guess it’s suitably ironic that it’s an artist who says something that gets me off of my rear end and off to work. Maybe there really is something profound and powerful in art that inspires us all, or some such nonsense.
Anyway, just thought you should know that your freaking awesome comic inspired me to keep on plugging and try to make the world a better place and such. Keep up the good work.
Sincerely,
Mr. Awesome
256th strip ^__^
Hooray, the rescuers are wearing life vests! And head protection! They are the only ones with common sense in this storyline so far, except for Woo, of course.
@ Kep.:
I know! i understand that. just because i post a simple ” i wish ” doesn’t mean i’m trying to make an insult, peapolz!
Y’know all he has to do is peek over into the 4th panel and call for help.
@ LoosecanoninD:
I mean 3rd
@ LoosecanoninD:
fail 🙂
Oh hey! Someone’s got lifejackets, at least! Is it really that smart to split up under the circumstances though?
“What’s taking them so long?” – Well Harv, rescue parties generally have an easier time finding you if you send up a flare or some other kind of distress signal.
Shouldn’t Harvey stick something unusual into the ground as a landmark so he can lead the rescue team back more easily?
I believe the phrase to come next will be:
“Let’s go exploring!”
s, results and live match commentaryAs well as Chelsea, Juventus, Fiorentina, Lazio and Borussia Dortmund are also keeping a close eye on the talent.
