You know, I suddenly don’t feel very sympathetic for Woo. I would think he would have a bit more sense than to eat his predator’s children.
Now the eagle will take great pleasure in torturing Woo. Actually, that’s a great stalling tactic, because now instead of a swift death, the eagle is going to waste time torturing Woo, giving Cloud and Sandra time to catch up.

I do suspect similar. Somehow, Woo will whip out the bag of Oreo’s and talk the eagle into becoming a city dweller that begs for handouts like a pigeon…or something. Maybe, becomes apart of the Sid gang. Then, over the years, Woo recruits more and more until a big story arc does something heroic with this collection of…erm, I’m letting my creativity run amok.

Eagles typically kill their prey as they nab it. Their talons are for killing, not their beaks.
It’s like saying a lion politely sat on the bison’s back for five minutes rather than immediately ripping its throat out.
While this comic has anthromorphic animals and the like, it also tends to include a level of realism in it (Shadow etc are actually shown to kill and eat mice and dead animals are a norm)
While I’m very opposed to the death of Woo, this is well below the level of consistent realism I’ve come to expect with this comic.
It’s like an episode of Gundam Wing suddenly had looney toons physics or something.
That having been said, this IS amusing. 🙂

You said it. I hate it when people say “It’s only a comic“, like that means that it’s immune to criticism. Makes me wonder if they’ve never heard of the concept of suspension of disbelief, or are just too dumb to understand it. The problem with this eagle isn’t that it’s not realistic, but that it doesn’t make sense. Anyone who replies to that with “A talking raccoon isn’t realistic either” is obviously not paying attention.
That eagle is surprisingly cool with that situation.
