In Rascal by Sterling North (Woo, forgive me for bringing up the name…) Sterling and Rascal encounter a hunter/fisherman/trapper (I don’t remember which) on their 2 week trip. I think I remember him having a coonskin cap, and he turned out to be a friend to Rascal and Sterling.
Maybe the hunter won’t hurt Woo. He might even try to help him…
*whimper* Hide, Woo. Or if it’s Sandra and the gang, or Harvey, don’t hide.
This was a triumph, I’m making a note here: HUGE SUCCESS.
I would say this was a triumph, huge success, yadda yadda, but, this is all unfortunate and fail 🙁

The problem with Portal jokes is that NOT EVERYBODY DID PLAY IT (and the more you talk about it the less I want to play it ¬_¬# ).

It could be the Trio, considering it is coming from the nearby bushes, and we know they avoided traveling through the open spaces to get there.
At the same time, with a bad wheel, our ring-tailed hero is in a lot of trouble if that isn’t them. If it is the hunter, or another predator (who got walloped by a cell phone?) then things could go from bad to worse, and trapped as he is against the base of the cliff, there aren’t a lot of options for him as far as hiding places go.
We’ve seen him fighting mad a couple of times. The two ‘tough’ raccoons that he scared so bad they went to Canada come to mind, so he might at least be able to bluff for survival.
Whoever, or whatever, it is isn’t making much pretense at being quiet. A hunter, if they sensed prey nearby, would be very quiet. For small game like Woo, they’d probably also have a four legged canine companion, which we haven’t seen, yet.
I’m thinking it’ll be the Trio. Sandra will go bonkers when she finds Woo’s leg is hurt and probably want to scale the cliff to beat up the Eagle. (That’d be sorta funny. Larisa trying to convince Sandra that something is too dangerous to do.)
And hey, personally, I enjoy the drawings for the stories so much, not every one of them has to be crammed with speech balloons. 🙂 It takes a certain talent to give all of the emotions off that this strip does. Hope, Sympathy, Fear and if you’re reading into it, Hope. 🙂

Woo: *Tch* Humans. Tell you what, I’m a little stiff and sore right now. Give me a ride back towards the river, and I’ll see if I can get this working, and then you can send some prank texts to all that stupid human’s friends.

The title is a reference to Portal, but not to the Portal 2 release. I was not aware of the release date when I came up with it after listening the “Still alive” title track.

I think it’s actually rather telling of the intelligence of the readers, considering that both people speaking out against old and tired portal jokes and those making them get downvoted because the people doing the downvoting are SO VERY STUPID.
Sorry, but after the eagle thing it’s really hard to take any threat to Woo seriously. He’ll be fine.
(And yes, he’s in the comic’s title and therefore has contractual immortality anyway, but you can at least challenge him once in a while.)
