wow, that’s the first time I ever saw a grown man wearing a coon skin cat that wasn’t playing a period drama. I wonder if it’s a dad who’s hunting with his kids, and woo inadvertantly, is actually, heading ing the direction of the real hunter/hired guide.
“Woo! Go, Masked ones, Go! Go! Go!”
heh, quick thinking, Woo, well done
Where? Where?
Oh…
A talking raccoon?
WHERE?!
That’s the last thing I expected Woo to do.
A talking racoon?! WHERE?!
A talking raccoon, the senior citizen’s natural enemy.
I SERIOUSLY laughed out loud. Simple, yet one of my favourites now :3
“LOOK! A DECOY!”
I laughed out loud! I can’t believe he did that! I feel that Woo broke a rule, but that rule is only my assumed thinking. Bravo Woo, Bravo.
This guy obviously has never seen a talking raccoon before.
I’m disappointed the hunter did end up getting used as a bad guy after all… So much for defying convention and avoiding stereotypes/clichés.
Still a funny strip though; I have no idea where it will turn next 😀
@ WolfieMario:
He’s not quite a bad guy yet. Not until he pulls the trigger while pointing the gun at an established good guy.
Haha, that was rather brilliant, funny solution. I was wondering how Woo would get out of this situation…
what where??…. wait a minute -_-
But wait! Now that the hunter knows that Woo can talk, doesn’t that make Woo more valuable to the hunter and wouldn’t it make the hunter want to catch Woo even more??
Oh lawd!
@ FluffySama:
True, I suppose should have said “antagonist”. He may still not be a bad person, even within this comic’s universe (e.g. he may come across the kids and show a nice personality). But for this strip, he was a direct antagonist, clearly being a moment from shooting Woo. I was hoping Novil had a surprise in store, to defy our expectations, but that didn’t happen. Ah well, the arc still has more time for surprises :p
@ Kelsey:
True, but at least now the hunter wouldn’t be using a gun against Woo (unless of course it was a tranquilizer gun all along, but I doubt that’s the case).
Oh crap. Well, I guess if it worked for bugs… Tell him it’s baseball season!
@ Kelsey:
Catch, maybe. Shoot? Absolutely not. He’s worth much more alive than dead.
Trying not to get shot helped that leg nicely.
Awwww look at that cute face in the last panel. I feel so worried and frightened for him. :'(
hmm good distraction
This reminds me of the movie George of the Jungle, when two poachers try to capture a talking gorilla, when they see a bunch of gorilla, one of them wonder which one he should tranquilize.
The other poacher: “The one playing chess….”
Hey why didn’ I ever think of this? It’s a wonder he didn’ just go BSOD… but yeah maybe he did. XD
You think the hunter has a cute face? 😛

(By the way, it would be nice if there was an edit button and an delete button. I made a mistake in my earlier reply and I couldn’t delete or edit it!)
That first panel made me laugh out loud.
Best diversion ever.
The extra good news is that no hunter’s dumb enough to try to kill a talking animal. Which means that even if Woo can’t outrun him, he’s still in no real danger.
If I’m not wrong…someone said that this is how Woo would get out of this situation
Ah, the Distraction Gag. Works everytime. XD

@ Hoheh:
Oh? I noticed that… was too busy looking for the talking raccoon to mention it.
Ah Woo…clever (and adorable) as always
Wait a second, a religious villain hunter?
After a split moment’s doubt, old man Jenkinson remembered he was wearing a raccoon hat that he thought gave him the magical ability to understand raccoon language.
“OH LOOK A DISTRACTION!”
*rolled a natural 20 for a distraction check ^^
@ Crestlinger:
Let’s not forget the +10 class bonus that comes with being a Born Rogue ^^
@ AielloA: And at least a +5 circumstance bonus for actually being a talking raccoon.
even with a near broken leg you run pretty fast when your about to get shot
“THAT’S A WEIRD PLACE TO PUT A PIANO!”
why so desperate Hunter?
Look! A man holding a gun!
How ironic.
Best distraction EVER.
CHEATING!!!
BEST DIVERSION EVER!!
well played

I wouldn’t say that hunters shooting animals is just a stereotype, myself…
