[0308] Disappointing Bonus Weapon

Games with fire spells in them are okay too.
- Cloud: … And in the next room I finally found the secret bonus weapon!
- Larisa: The flamethrower?!
- Cloud: No. Not a flamethrower.
- Larisa: Ahh, silly me! The flamethrower is, of course, already part of the standard equipment!
- Cloud: Uhm… no. There is no flamethrower in “Deus Ex: Human Revolution”.
- Larisa: Why would anybody ever want to play a game without a flamethrower in it?
I dunno, the Grenade Launcher IS pretty sweet…..
PoM-Pyroblast FTW!
Do Fire Flowers count? I just noticed there are almost no Nintendo games at all with no fire-related moves.
i imagined cloud to have light blur hair ayways shes right @WooKirby FLAME FLOWERS ARE BETTER
Incidentally, what “secret bonus weapon” are you talking about? Or is this just you doing random “game speak”?
@ Brian Shanahan:
Just get it for the PS3 or 360 😉
No flamethrower? Them what are you supposed to use to kill things with fire then? 🙁
@wookirby Din’s Fire in OoT was pretty awesome. One of the new Zeldas need to bring it back.
@ TotallyDrawn:CHARIZARD used FLAME THROWER. ‘Nuff said.
its not in DE:HR ? it was in the original…
I love fire. Her argument is completely true.
@ Nick/Tyrong:
Like I said, the Grenade Launcher. Pre-order bonus XD
For some weird reason, I keep thinking Cloud’s hair is blue. :\
This color needs getting used to… Not that I’m complaining.
I can see Larisa enjoying TF2 a lot.
Go W+M1 the hell out of em, Larisa!
Now we know the true identity of the pyro from tf2.
Or a chainsaw!
I’m guessing the Pyro would be here second favorite character in team fortress 2
we’ll always have TF2.
@ DancingMoon:
You said that Deus Ex was rated 17+. Europe and Australia don’t have a 17+ rating. (we use 12, 15 and 18 for age limits)
Rise of the Triad doesn’t have a flamethrower…but it does have a flamewall.
@ Otto:
Almost every game has a flamethrower, if not technically, literally (like Mario and the fire flower).
Love the hitchhiker’s guide to the galaxy reference. ^_^
And to think that Larisa was looking for the meaning of life…
Halo, I will admit, has no flamethrower.
It has volatile plasma and energy weapons.
Your move.

But of course, since your avatar is the Chinese character for ‘fire’! 😛
Mmm, Larisa really looks good in color. Me likes.
No game worth it’s water wouldn’t have a way to set things on fire
if a game doesn’t have a flamethrough they could always go for second best: Molotov cocktails
@ Otto:
Well, i van. There is a lot of games, where you simply dont need a flamethrower, because you have a dragon or some neat fire spell… Depends on what kind of games you play. (In fantasy worlds rarely can get a modern flamethrower – but if you creative enough, you always can find a good replacement!)
That was exactly what that game was missing. A good solid flamah. Or a shotty. Honestly? Too little dakka and too much sneaky.
Funnily enough, you CAN use a flamethrower in the first two Deus Ex games
Hmm… so, Larisa, is it fine for the flamethrower in a game to be inferior gameplay-wise to the rest of your arsenal, as long as it’s in the game? How about if it’s only usable by the enemy?
