Artwork: Steampunk Cloud

As part of our feature “commissioned artwork of our characters drawn by other talented artists”, the American artist team Spoofee Pandah (Kirk and Amanda) drew the picture you can see above. It is the last one of several steampunk related pictures that have been published over the course of the last months.
Supporters can download the image in its original size (2164 x 3175) and as a wallpaper on the special page for donators.
I’m open for suggestions for subjects that you’d like to see drawn in color. A new picture will be posted every Saturday in December!

to be honest, I can’t quite see the ‘steampunk’ in this drawing, apart from the vague cogs in the background. I’d say it’s Pirate Cloud. Which makes one wonder whether this conflicts with Cloud’s ninja-esque training :P.

Actually, this is quite steampunk. What everyone has perceived to be steampunk is cogs and gears, when that is just an embellishment. Generally that’s what is referring to items and the environment. When it comes to clothing it is closer to what they wore during the industrial revolution with small accessories like glasses and pistols. Usually there is a lot of gold and you can play with the idea of machinery. I quite like this, though. I think it is very well done and classically steampunk.
A love it…. 😀 bu me only criticism is cloud’s Finger and the Trigger Guard of the pistol. but oter than that t’is awesome 😀
