I suspect that this wolf is about to learn the hard way not to talk to your food.
Heh heh, I can just imagine woo coming along right about now. Or shadow, haven’t seen him in a while.
today is not your day
Maybe is Sid offered him Oreos……..or a big bowl or bag of Tribble Kibble (“Fill up your Wolfie and fill him up right with Tribble Kibble!”:)
One squirrel’s misfortune is another wolf’s fortune. Gotta love that happy look in the 2nd panel.
That wolf looks so cute.
Too bad Sid wasn’t a flying squirrel!
Dun-Dun-Duuuuun!

So far, the wolf seems very friendly with his food. I hope this turns out right.
It’s time to assassinate that wolf in style.
I like the wolf’s facial expressions; especially the last panel. 🙂
Woah, if you picture the wolf without Sid, it almost looks like a troll face meme. ._.
@ Moxie Man:
That reminds me of Chanticleer.
Don’t talk with your mouth full!
Sheesh. Wolves these days!
The End.
nice.
Roll against the the hungry wolf’s nom-catch feat, Sid… failed. Wolf gets a free round to talk to his prey.
What can Sid do now? Try to get him monologuing? Tickle his nose with that big, fluffy tail? Wriggle down his throat and threaten to bite his tonsils? Claim to be carrying rabies? IF EXISTS(Squirrel_deity) THEN DO Pray to $Squirrel_Deity ? Make the puppy dog eyes? All of the above?
Eat Me! Put Me Out of My Misery! END THIS DIARRHEA! that’ll work
Very clever, “my curse of bad luck” from one who has just fallen out of a tree into a wolf’s mouth!
Panel 2: Flying squirrel, you are doing it wrong my friend O_O!
I’ve heard it’s impolite to talk with your mouth full. But what about talking with your mouth full to what’s in your mouth???
@ m:
… we are glad to invite you to a dinner?
@ Ellert0:
i agree squirrel is not that bad…but ya gota catch a lot for it to be filling…..Squirrel..
Ahh Wolves….i wonder why our wolf friend is alone and not in a pack…maybe he was cast out…i feel our pain buddy!
Wolf in Bears Clothing (its the last thing they’d suspect)
Am I the only one who chuckled from seeing the “POUMF =3” SFX?
Okay this? this comic here? my absolute favorit.
Why? because the wolf has luck, looks nice and it will be the last panel before something bad will happen to him,you just know it.Thats why i enjoy that last panel while it lasts.
@ Plaid Wolf:
Yeah, but if he had food he wouldn’t have had a reason to leave his home.
Clever girl…
RIP here lies Sid the squirrel who didn’t store enough nuts
sid look.. U ARE NOT A FLYING SQUIRREL SO STOP TRYING!
… hey i can dream cant i? XP
That is clever. I can seriously see some sort of relationship happening here in the near future!
I’m rooting for the wolf. Sorry, Sid.
Cid should move to the city away from the wolfs
Mmm… squirrel meat… Enjoy your meal, mister wolf!
Nobody else has said it, so I have to:
Q. What’s the time, Mr Wolf?
A. Dinner Time!!!
🙂
Guys, as a long time fan, I feel obligated to inform you that someone has been using the RSS feed of Sandra and Woo, used it to rip images and put it on an app for Android, then put ads next to them to make money WITHOUT crediting the author. The name of the app is DailyComix. Here is the whole story: http://chrishanel.tumblr.com/post/19196576643/spread-the-word-theft-is-theft
@SlopDoggy
Already mailed it to Novil a few hours ago. Hopefully he will be able to get his work removed from that app. Other Webcomics I know are already trying to.
Now to Sids dilemma…
That wolf looks hungry, but not to hungry to talk to his lucky catch. If Sid plays it smart maybe he can delay the wolf eating him until springtime. 🙂
I honestly thought that at the last minute, Sid would find out that he was a flying squirrel and fly way! Poor Sid, he’s toast.
@ Melkior:
Is there another version of “What time is it Mister Fox?” called “What time is it Mr. Wolf?” It’s probably a regional thing.
after reading the wolf’s dialogue in a something-is-in-your-mouth tone, i found this quite humorous.
@ SlopDoggy:
I hope Novil will release an app so we can read S&W and Gaea on Android and Apple.
Evolve wings! EVOLVE WINGS!!!
FIRAGA! Oh, wait, wrong comic.
Just looked at the character sketch in “cast” above–there’s hope! Sid is very good at avoiding getting eaten by predators! (^_^)
Web comic theft!
http://chrishanel.tumblr.com/post/19196576643/spread-the-word-theft-is-theft
@ Matthew G.:
I’m confused, the “theft bot” thingy was designed by a company to make it easier for webcomic readers to access their favorite webcomics. In order to provide this luxury the person who downloads the gets proprietary advertisments specific to the software.
How is that theft?
I’m really not clear on the concept of ownership with regards to software used versus content created.
if you download software, like a web browser, and it has a built in commercialization system, how is that taking the ownership of content away from either creator?
Generally, tools are not responsible for the actions of their user’s or creators…
@ Slimecat Teh Awesomesauce:
The problem is most free webcomics get their fundings from the number of click views and the ads on their website. Rather than linking to the original that guy simply took comics from other webcomics and put it on his own app and taking the ad money for himself.
The less people go to the original sites the less click views they will get. and less click views means less money from ads they can receive. Hosting a website with heavy traffic especially the one who already gain a lot of readers is quite costly.
@ Slimecat Teh Awesomesauce:
I agree that this isn’t really a theft of the content itself (just as pirating music does not mean the artist no longer has ownership of it). However, it is a theft of profits (ad revenue), and that’s the main issue with it. If the software would only provide the same ads each comic site provides, and send the revenue to the content creators, that would be fine.
In the case of Sandra and Woo, actually, the comic is licensed under the ‘Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivs 3.0 Unported License‘ (see this post). Because of this, I think it would be alright to make an app that provides the comic for free, without ads. Because the license says that you cannot earn money off distributing the comic, it means the app has to be free and cannot earn ad money either.
Similar terms apply to many of the webcomics that were provided by the app, so even if it can be argued whether or not it was theft, what they did was still surely illegal.
Oh, whoops. In my above post, where I say “see this post”, the link should have been on that part. The “Creative Commons…” part has the link instead, but it’s still the right link :p
Off topic, but this might be of interest as S&W is concerned:

I can just see Cloud saving the squirrel then finding out he can talk to the wolf. Between Woo and Sandra keeping their communications secret and cloud and the wolf keeping their communications secret, I can see this going in lots of directions.
