i wonder if any granny would just look upo in confusement after being shot at by a little girl…
still, love seeing yuna being herself again!
It’s not June twenty-first yet. TIME (zone) TRAVEL.
I think I like the third panel the best.
Swing Swing! Fight the power!
Down with the oppressors!!
FOR FREEDOM!!
FOR JUSTICE!!!
FOR COOKIES AND GOOD VIDEO GAMES!!!!
last one was too much ??
Ya know… the peace. It’s like the force… but it doesn’t give you any cool powers or anything. You just act cranky when it goes away.
Yuna should know that Ulfric is only causing trouble because he wants to be the high king.
Without the Stormcloaks drawing attention to the issue, the Imperials turned a blind eye to small secretive Talos worship.
The Imperials are only protecting Skyrim from the Thalmor, and it was the Stormcloaks that started the war in the first place..!
Death to the Stormcloaks!
Is there anything more peaceful than a little girl having fun in the playground?
@ Furthurdead:
To make sense of my anti-stormcloak rant in the context of Yuna against the elderly lady…
If the Stormcloaks, or Yuna, or children as the case may be get to do whatever they want, there would be no rules.
The Stormcloaks/Yuna/Children obviously oppose rules in general, for examples such as wanting to eat icecream before dinner.
The Imperials, or the Elderly/Adults, provide said rules and structure. It is only natural for a child to not want to be bound by those rules, but without them, there is chaos.
We may not like rules or order, but without them, everything would come crumbling down. Compare it to the book Lord of the Flies. The children there were in a state of nature. No rules, no guidance. They were not led in the right direction by the Elderly/Adults, and that led them to crumble, resulting in death and destruction.
Looking at it from another perspective, Yuna was comparing the lady opposing. her slight disturbance with the Imperials opposing the Stormcloaks. This is not true.
If the Stormcloaks only had a slight disturbance, say, rallying against the Imperial rule, or boycotting Imperial products, it would be one thing, like the Lady and Yuna.
No. The Stormcloaks (Well, Ulfric), KILLED THE HIGH KING. That would have been like if Yuna set fire to the playground and then the lady told her to stop.
Anyway, I should stop ranting now. 😛
@ Deko:
No, that last one was the most important!
like mother, like daughter both are rebels at heart ^_^
Disturbing the peace? What the Frack? It is a playground, what did the old hag expect to happen on a playgraound?
Row, row, fight the power
row, row, Eisenhower
row, row, fire flower
row, row, I like Jack Bower
and
row, row, Shamamalama
It’s a playground, you wrinkly crone. Go to church if you want peace.
“What would you do if you were Yuna?”
“Whatever the heck I wanted!”
She should have a nerf gun eat cooler than that.
I love this, and totally agree. If you wanna think you old hag, go home where it’s quiet. After all, I do all my deepest thinking in silence. In my bedroom or at my computer around midnight. 😛
I wonder what the old lady is more shocked about, what Yuna said, or how she shot her on her head with aim.
Huh. That would be a typical response for getting shot in the head with a toy gun.
Fight the power!
That’s right Yuna you fight that frail old woman!
@ Furthurdead:
Or perhaps those with sense would watch the idiots kill each other off, then form their own society that wouldn’t really need rules? There is such thing as people who are noble without needing another person to give them rules, and some people are capable of learning from their own experiences.
On the subject of the comic… I like to think the old lady is thinking, ‘What the fuck just happened?’.
Telling a kid to be quiet at a playgrond is like making Woo like wolfs. It’s never gonna happen.
Long live the Empire.
That’s a nice shot! Like, Top Shots level of nice.
One to the forehead from four meters while jumping off a swing? With a sucker-dart gun and it’s poor ballistics and notoriously weak springs?
Yuna’s got disturbingly good aim for a kid her age…
How old is she, anyway? How old is EVERYONE by now, for that matter? Is there a passage of time in this comic??
Hehe right in the soft spot. Good reaction time too, Ye Thuza’s been training her well.
Girl’s got skills.
Um………i’m kinda scared that with how she acts and how accurate with a gun she is…….good thing she isn’t evil!
@ Robert:
So it’s like a tampon>
The Imperials were Liberals, the Stormcloaks were Conservatives……
……… and coincidentally -they BOTH sucked~
@ Furthurdead:
Plus the Empire is not your typical Evil Empire. Sure they signed a treaty from the Thalmor (Who beat the crap out of them even though they lost hold of Imperial City) that banned Talos but they ignored the secret worship until Ulfric started his rebellion. Plus General Tulius and Legate Rikke is more likable than Stormcloaks and
Ulfric is a Thalmor’s asset but they do not want the victory for either Stormcloaks or Imperials just weaken them.
Gunslinger Girl FTW!
CHILDREN ARE NOT SUPPOSED TO BE QUIET!
Ha! Talk about overacting. Nice expressions and the backgrounds are well done. 🙂
@ Deko:
are you kidding they have to be in that list
@Deko: Cookies and GOOD video games are both needed. And both seem to be in short supply.
@Hineko: I like to think that she has a childs luck, or mad Ninja skills.
No granny, your bitchin’ be disturbing the peace -,-
Who’d tell a child to be quiet in a park anyway? That granny seems rather grumpy.
@ Furthurdead:
Yay Skyrim!!!!!!!!
@ Van:
where i live there are several playgrounds within parks. elderly people frequent the parks and, more often than not, children are found playing in the playground area.
on the other hand, also where i live, the first day of summer is frequently foggy…not unlike the way the backgrounds of this strip appears…
@ SilentSooYun:
Yuna’s gun may mot be spring powered – I’ve never heard a spring-powered Nerf or any other sucker-dart gun go ‘bang’ before…..
@ NOTDilbert:
When I was a kid I used to mod my sucker dart guns with a cap from a cap gun so that it would go bang when I shot it.
@ Furthurdead:
I think that Yuna was using “imperialist” as a reference to Imperialism (the form of government), as opposed to the Imperials (from Elder Scrolls).
Yeah, I noticed Yuma got off a perfect headshot off balance with instinctive aim. I see a bright future for her in the CIA…
Yuna is easily my favorite character.
@ Opus the Poet:
The CIA? You think she’d work for the government?
It’s kind of random that she had a plunger gun on her person, but then again, this IS Yuna we’re talking about. She has learned (well) from her mom.
Heeee… GO YUNA!
I dunno, she’d have a bright future as a computer programmer. When the devs at my workplace get bored some mighty fine nerf gun action breaks out. General rule is to stay out of the developers’ wing if you ain’t packing.
Yuna leveled up!
Yuna upgraded her archery plus 1 and got the “Good Aim” park!
