- Richard: … End of the line.
- Richard: It’s way too dangerous out there, Sandra. You must wait until the storm has moved on.
- Sandra: I know, daddy.
- Sandra: Take care of yourself, Woo!

Masked hero saves the d… night?
Oh man! That last panel is like the epitome of artistic drama put on page for this comic! I really hope this turns out well! *bites fingernails as he waits for the next comic*
I really like the last panel. You get a clear feeling for the lightning and rain.
The expression on Woos face is also fantastic.
That last panel looks fantastic!
It kinda looks like Woo is storming off into a Frank Miller comic (which, in this context, is pretty awesome)
I hope its nothing serious… Common it’s comedy comic… not a tragedy comic, and not even drama comic…
@ Egomane:
I think the last panel would make a fantastic background.
what would be the worst thing right now is if woo sees lily with someone else… please tell me thats not the case
I can’t help but hear an epic music playing over that last panel…
Just in case I wasn’t already anxious and excited about this arc… those lightning effects. Intense.
Go, Woo! Go!
The art is wonderful for this page! Very dramatic story setup, too.
That last panel is gorgeous!
Trying to think of good music for this scene. All I can come up with is “Duel of the Fates” from Star Wars. Anyone got any better suggestions?
@ Who, me?:
Sorry, but now all I can think of is Duel of Fates. Maybe The Uruk-Hai from Lord of the Rings… Oh dear. That gave me the worst forboding feeling ever.
Please tell us you’re going to make the side of the last panel with Woo in it a T-shirt? That’s EPIC!
That look one Woo’s face… DAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAANNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNG!!!
WOO LOOKS LIKE EVEN SUPERMAN COULDN’T STOP HIM! O_O
I was just saying the other day how I was hoping for another serious sandra and woo arc. Glad it’s being delivered
Last panel is one of the most epic panels I have ever seen in a comic like this. Awesome job you two!
Wow, you’ve really stepped up the artwork on this one. Very dynamic rendering. Love it!
I like this, with its drama!
It’s been a bit lightweight for a while…but has been funny!
@ Olilaf:
I happen to be listening to Morricone soundtracks to Leone films right now… it works.
Whoa! Fantastic last panel – love the art and style 🙂
Allow me to add to the chorus of acclamation over the masterful shading in this comic. It really does give the impression of bright lightning flashes “washing out” the view of the landscape momentarily.
Powree used ART UPGRADE!
It’s (insert some kind of really positive pokemon cliche)!
🙂 …this looks righteous.
Remind me, does Richard know Woo can talk or not? That could affect just how crazy he thinks his daughter is, right now…
Today’s comic is drawn pretty awesome. 🙂
Last panel needs to be a wallpaper. It just has to.
Headlights in panel 1 are a nice touch.
I never knew a raccoon could be this epic. GO WOO GO!
THOOM
Woo’s character has gone through a lot of changes. He’s talked his way out of a lot of danger but I never thought he’d do something this bold on his own. I guess love is a very persuasive tool in the world of heroism
Woah! It’s so intence! Such vivid use of whitespace! Such amazing streaks of ink amidst an ocean of white forms! And the accent of the screentone! Truly Richard’s stubble in the third panel is the centerpiece here!
I’m surprised no one mentioned that “It was a Dark and Stormy Night” was how Snoopy started off all his stories, 🙂
Ok I got it, I know what song we need for the last panel.
Holding out for a Hero.
This might be the coolest, most dramatic Sandra & Woo strip yet, right up there with Woo battling the wolves! Awesome!
This is awesome!! Personally, i couldn’t help but hear the begining of Dragonforce’s Fire and the Flames music. The determination on Woo’s face in the last panel gives me shivers!
Epic Raccoon is epic.
A very nice work done on the last panel……
AAAAAAAAAA THE LAST PANEL IS AMAAAAAAZING AAAAAAAAAAA
Let me echo the cries for a wallpaper (without the text).
@ Blitz:
“Sin Forest”? “The Dark Night”? “Footpath to Perdition”? “Watchanimals”?
i’m getting QQ-y in here!

Actually Schultz was quoting someone much earlier than he. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/It_was_a_dark_and_stormy_night
I have used that opening line in a story myself, and for the same reason.
Totally awesome artwork, Powree. The lightning effects are so realistic. I love this comic.
I was busy with moving to a new home and look what I missed, an amazing and stunning comic and I’m late to the (comment) party!
I don’t think I need to repeat what others already said. Powree art is already pretty stunning. I will commission her for artworks in the future!
Also just want to add another request for wallpaper version for the last panel.
Gorgeous work with the lightning, Powree. Every time
Look at how brave Woo is in that last panel. Another signature for the Wallpaper version petition.
Execpt that in a frank miller comic lily would be dead or dying by the time woo got there after all
Frank wrote this ‘gem’ where Batman Lets Some Thieves Burn to Death … as He Gets Laid (All-Star Batman and Robin No. 7, 2007)
So you can see why i would prefer to keep frank miller out of my woo.
Now thats a father…….
Not counting the fact that his daughter blackmailed him of course……
@ David:
With a page of him dodging various obstacles and a few agitated critters to boot, maybe with a “GET OUT OF MY WAY!” thrown in?
That works, but I hear a twisted mashup of Dragonforce’s Inhumam Rampage album (mostly Revolution Deathsquad, Body Breakdown, and Through the Fire & Flames) with Dr. Who theme music! @ Who, me?:
