I WAS RIGHT SOMETHING DID HAPPEN TO WOO!! Although it’s a bit of a stupid thing. “Hey look, Lilly’s alright! I guess there was no danger after all! Let’s make it dangerous by leaving the safe shelter and walking right out into the middle of the tallest objects in the area that are most likely to be struck by lightning! XD
Ummm, that shelter is right at the foot of the “tall object” that you’re referencing, which has just been struck. Although, in reality, being that close to a struck tree probably wouldn’t have helped a bit.

I have to agree with Greenwood Goat that it is likely Lily will have to find the courage to get help from the humans. Woo will probably be knocked unconscious, if not bleeding. And then they will have to take Woo to the vet (making an emergency visit). I am looking forward to seeing Lily’s reaction to being around humans – especially since Lily does not have Woo to interpret or speak for her. Can Lily even understand human speech?
I also find the suggestion that Woo might mumble something while unconscious to be an interesting idea – especially Sandra’s dad. It would make for an interesting plot development.

Never really understood why Woo had to keep that a secret from dad in the first place. I mean, he saved Woo from his abusive owner, I doubt he’d sell him out to the scientists.

@ JHSpencer: Likewise – it just seems obvious that Lily is going to have to haul Woo’s insensate body to Sandra’s dad’s car. Which should be interesting given Lily’s behavior around humans in the past has been…less than enthralled.

I am actually touched by this somehow. Maybe it’s the way they look at each other, maybe it’s the knowledge that something serious happened to Woo and Lily, maybe it’s just because I need to read another romance comic/fanfiction again. Either way, I am oddly touched by this moment. XD
