- Woo: Climbing is a dangerous activity, Butterfly. Every day, dozens of raccoons fall from trees or rocks and die.
- Woo: But you’ve shown us all what a raccoon is capable of. Seeoahtlahmakaskay told me about all the climbers who managed to save themselves at the last second because they remembered one of your tricks.
- Butterfly: Is that really true?
- Woo: Of course.
- Woo: And that’s why nobody would be disappointed if you didn’t reach the summit tomorrow. Because you are already our heroine!
- Butterfly: Wow…

That’s the kindest lie I’ve ever heard… and probably true for some raccoons!
“By the way, did you know climbing is super dangerous? RACOONS DIE!”
Yeah, Woo, I’m definitely not sure about your approach there.
Although it is definitely a neat trick to hug a superstar.
I believe that a “Aww…” Is in order.
Butterfly has had some of the most adorable expressions ever these past few weeks.
That sounds more plausible than the fan art. I hope the climb will be successful!
By the way, I think there was a typo in the first panel; ‘from’ is repeated twice in a row.
After hearing that, I wouldn’t be surprised if she climbed Mount Everest with just her teeth !
Now, Butterfly, you go climb that cherry tree, and get that fruit! You be happy about stuff and meet that cliff with pride! GO BUTTERFLY!!

Then Butterfly fallen for Woo, and the love triangle hijinx started. COMEDY!

Butterfly goes on to fall from the cherry tree and die.
She looks so charmed I wouldn’t be surprised if some sort of love triangle suddenly formed. I almost wish it did with some excuse like “racoons don’t mind if they mate with multiple others” but I doubt that’s the case. XD
I thought it was going to be because of the eagles.
Because she falls so little, there’s less chance of other raccoons getting eaten by eagles when they fall… because of fake statistic laws! 😉
Well, let’s just hope those words don’t come back to haunt Woo due to an eagle snacking on a butterfly on the morrow.
Oh NOOOOOO! Now she will think that it’s okay if she doesn’t try to climb The Special One! I’m calling it now!
I’d be disappointed if she didn’t make it to the summit…I waited like 2 weeks Woo! Lol.
Right now I’m expecting a viciously ferocious Lily with killing instincts towards Butterfly standing behind the hugging Woo and Butterfly.
Hm, well I understand the talk with possible jealousy from Lily, but I propose a single question:
Does the raccoon world have polyamory? Because I recall vague somethings of that sort being mentioned before. Though I could be horribly misremembering things.
I wondered where Woo was going with this – given Butterfly’s celebrity status, that’s more conjecture than an outright lie.
Of course, if she mentions the eagle, Woo can relate an incident from his own experience: although having said that, eating the eagle’s offspring and taking advantage of its shock to negotiate an escape isn’t guaranteed to succeed…
Of course Some have divinity saves and can dodge lightning strikes, but those ones aren’t usually climbers.
I wonder how true is it. I mean, the part about See-Kay saying it is most probably false, although who knows?… well, point is, how many raccoons were saved by Butterfly’s techniques?
I was thinking of something completely different when I saw the title in my RSS feed.
Well you know what? She Might as well not even climb the mountain. I bet next Woo will say
“Hey Butterfly (insert raccoon goddess name here) says that your such a good climber that it would be stupid of you to climb the mountain because your soo good. So instead have a V8.” Well that’s probably what the next comic would look like

We may not have seen the whole of Woo’s conversation with CK; she may have actually said that, or something very like it. That’s what I’m hoping anyway. I don’t want to see Woo turned into a liar.

Well CK is a raccoon as well as Woo so I’m sure she won’t care.
I think a couple of comics back she stole something from God and the eyeball pyramid thingy.

I’m really not sure what to make of this arc.

It seems to have introduced a whole load of “raccoon lingo”, as well as several new characters…. And now here out of nowhere is some weird raccoon superstar with a Svengali manager, being pushed to climb well beyond what she seems to believe her ability is….. and now we have Woo trying to manipulate her into doing it too… which I’m not really sure what to make of.
It just seems like everyone is trying to get Butterfly killed.
