- Butterfly: Ugh.
|
Oh wow. For a second there, I didn’t even realize it was a new comic.
The art on these climbing panels is great, but when do we get some more inter*action*?
She has quite a lot more agility than most professional climbers. I bet they wish they could reliably jump to handholds. But for professional climbing, it’s a lot safer to simply make handholds with a pick than to jump for one (though it’s even safer to use existing ones, since they’re less likely to crumble and won’t knock you off with Newton’s Third Law of Motion).
@ Lucario:
It’s called a dyno, climbers do it all the time. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RtH7Qzdjbho
I would never do it on a raw route, but established routes and walls are great for it. It’s one of the most fun moves you can make.
Don’t get cocky now, Butterfly…
I think she’ll actually make it to the top, it would suck if she fell of that close…
Well I’m sure shes not done with the eagle quite yet… so inter*action will soon be here i think.
Butterfly : hey I can see my base from ere
Oh we weren’t doing that? Uh sorry.
Butterfly: I can see cleeeearly now !!!!!
Now now Butterfly, it’s not the time to take that sigh of relieve. You know what happened to people who celebrate early did ya
When I said that she had upper boddy strength I never would have thought… She could probably do a pull up with 10 other racoons holding on to her legs.
NEVER, don’t EVER, get this lady raccoon angry at ya.
sheesh, it might not be the last thing you do, but it she looks like she could make you wish it was.
Even with built-in pitons, that jump looks risky. And, speaking as a non-climber, the dyno looks totally nuts. Bet it’s fun though.
This is what surpasses Adam Ondra, Butterfly =)
*munch* *munch* *munch*
…popcorn anyone?
All of those raccoons down there are now probably just staring with their mouths open.
The more I see this scene, the more I imagine that they’re playing ‘Iko Iko by Zap Mama in the background and that at the end Butterfly will pick up some sunglasses with IMF mission details in them…
Altair, Ezio, eat your hearts out 😀
@ Annon:
Thanks; ‘preciate that! Want some ginger-ale?
Don’t get tooo confident now, Butterfly. That was quite a risk jumping for something you couldn’t even see was there or not.
And with that last panel, I now know what she asked the eagle to do. 🙂
As good as all this artwork is, it’s been a week without anything actually happening now. When are we going to get more story?
@ olivia162013:
She’s climbing a gorge like Tom Cruise in Mission Impossible 2. What more story do you need?
Cooper Clan must be proud of her.
so after all this is done she can say she flipped off this mountain.
Woah that jump was so gnarly it made my head spin. Butterfly is as good as they say.
Still wonder what ol Mori is up to?? Hmmm?
I must make a horrible confession…I accidentally ran over a raccoon today!!!!! I’m so sorry, how do I pay for this dreadful crime?
@ MawileCeyvis:
I think the most fitting penalty would be to get a barbecue spit going.
Waste not, want not.
This comic really makes me want to take up climbing again… if only I could still fit into my harness…
…Then again, maybe not. I remember I hated overhangs with a passion.
What kind of crazymad eyesight do these raccoons have?
Believe me when I say that this is exhilarating!
