Don’t worry Powree, we won’t judge you for not being able to draw 58,612 raccoons!
I wonder how you WOULD picture the sound of raccoons, anyway.
And 1 reader. Woo!
Yaaaaay 😀 she made it! I was hoping for that… I wonder if the gods will cheer as well?
It would be awesome if audio was recorded for web comics… Like a little sound icon in the corner and when you pressed it, it would play the desired audio? Obviously not for all of the comics, just when certain audio would be needed to create a certain effect. Honestly don’t know why some new web comics haven’t tried this yet (at least not to my limited knowledge!).
@ NeonJ:
A whole bunch of trills, chitters and whoops – I’ve heard 3 or 4 doing that at once, I can only imagine that many! 🙂
When the gods celebrate now…the sun will turn into a disco ball! Complete with fog! Lots of fog!
you know what I’m wondering? I’m wondering where Sandra and her dad are during all this.
YEEEEEEEEEEEEESSSS!! G’waaaaaan Butterfly!
WOOOOOOOOOO
Outstanding!
Way to go Butterfly
Now then…how’s she going to get down, I wonder…?
@ NeonJ:
Simple; just insert a gigantic “WOO” in all caps, italics, bolded, and spanning most of the comic.
I actually was scared for the first 3 panels.
Not pictured: The deafening cheers of 10,000 readers.
Success!
@ Ivresse:
Either the eagle(s) will -kindly- return her to the base, or she’ll hike the trail down the back side of the mountain. 🙂
@ Sambo:
TWO! 😉
I really need to figure out (and remember!) how to do multiple replies in one post; this looks terrible. Oh well…
I like this strip with all the peace, quiet, and serenity of the first three panels and then the sudden dramatic appearance of Butterfly’s arm as she reaches the top. 🙂
Not pictured: The deafening cheers of 58,612 raccoons + 7 Gods watching via live broadcast (coyote, el-ahrairah, isengrim, ratatoskr, reynard, seeoahtlahmakaskay) + thousands of readers!!!
And the thing that strikes me most?
The fact that you didn’t just copy and past the first 3 frames.
Good on ya!
@ parc:
You beat me to it, take my thumbs-up instead!
I kind of like this arc, but to be honest I found the arc with Zoey before this one much more interesting…
Finally!
now don’t get distracted by the noise you will be fine
@ Luke:
Homestuck does it.
Is this where the racoon goddess (I am sorry , I can’t spell her name) comes down and congratulates her? That would validate woo’s lie.
Hooray!

It would probably go something like this: “SQUUEEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAK!!!!”
If not that then this:
SQUEAK! SQUEAK!
SQUEAK! SQUEAK!
SQUEAK!
SQUEAK SQUEAK! SQUEAK!
LOOK OUT!! IT’S THE EVIL SEVERED HAND OF THE ZOMBIE WEREWOLF HOMUNCULUS WITCH!!!
Oh wait it’s just Butterfly, never mind. *wipes forehead*
The caterpillar always dreamed of reaching the top of the tree,
but alas, it was a caterpillar, it was not meant to be,
for if it could manage to reach the canopy,
then it would get eaten by birds, you see.
One day, that caterpillar hid in her shell,
and there she remained, with time to sell.
The days went by and her shell never fell,
Until, at last, the shell shook, and it shook quite well.
The shell fell and broke, and out the bug came,
but this time a change, a butterfly it became.
With wings of orange, they appeared aflame,
And the butterfly flew, until it overcame
the top of the trees! It had reached its goal!
It could see miles around, every plant, every knoll!
The butterfly flew high, higher than any pole.
The forest rejoiced; look at her soul!
The butterfly was happy, with excitement it was rife!
It had done something impossible to most wildlife!
Oh, the way had been filled with so much strife,
but that didn’t matter; now, it was content with its life.
…as the first zombie-coon was brought back from the dead!
Suddenly, everyone in the next ten miles said, “What the hell is that noise?!”
@ Luke:
Have you heard of Brawl In the Family? That’s a webcomic which has done plenty of strips with audio files which autoplay to go along with the strip.
Erm, surely the applause is a little premature? She may have reached the top, but she hasn’t pulled herself over the edge and onto the clifftop yet, so there’s still potential for her to lose her grip and fall.
If she does make it over the edge, will the deities have taken note of Woo’s rash promise and laid out a celebratory feast for her, or will she face bare ground?
WOO! Yay Butterfly! Do your victory dance!
GO BUTTERFLY, YOU’RE AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
So says 58, 612 raccoons and 1 human called MrInternet. Because it’s true. She’s really awesome. Really.
I bet now she’s gonna jump off and a horde of eagles will catch her.
Well thank God, now I can get some sleep and stop worring
@ Ivresse:
See what I said yesterday.
@ Luke:
As a matter of fact we did this in 1995 (the first webcomics with sound as far as I know.)

It was a rhetorical question…
You know, and please don’t flame or think me a hater, but she hasn’t QUITE made the peak yet. She only has one paw…there’s still her body weighing her down. Now when she gets BOTH front paws up there, then she’ll be set. Then they\ll be chanting for her to climb down. lol j/k
@ Luke:
Brawl in the Family did it a fair few times, with it’s Musical Comics. Check it out! ;o
@ NeonJ:
EeEk Eeek caaaaaa caaaa waaaak waaaaak eh I really don’t know! But I bet it sounds like a bunch of rats or something.
Heh. Saw the comic without seeing the title and thought: ZOMBIES!
@ CHAOKOCartoons:
Elmer Fudd: eh I think I hewe waccoons eh eh eh eh. And wots of em too eh eh eh.
Wooks wike I’m gonna get a bwig bwonus eh eh eh
Shhhhh I’m hunting Waccoons .
@ Valkeiper2012:
I lost interest in this arc 2 months ago would have been nice to break it up with a few of the other faces now and then instead of ignoring them for 3 months. Dont get me wrong, i love this comic but its been over 23 issues since we saw Sandy this is taking too long to finish.
@ Valkeiper2012:
That is a fair point, and one more question: how will Sandra and Richard know when to come and get Woo and Lily? o-o;
also not pictured, 2 racoons making love away from the other 58,612.
