- Sandra: Sometimes, Cloud, a boy just isn’t aware of how much he’s hurting his girlfriend with his behavior.
- Sandra: It’s true that time heals many wounds. But there are things that even the most easy-going girl will never forgive!
- Cloud: Whatever. $2000, please.
- Sandra: It’s over between us, Cloud! Over!

Monopoly – destroying families and relationships since the 1900s.
Heeheehee…you’re so funny.
Wait…what if Sandra’s serious?
Nah, she wouldn’t, right?
Monopoly — For enemies
It’s good to see Cloud and Sandra again. Nothing against Woo, but Sandra is usually the funnier of the two of the pair. This one made me smile as my GF has said the same thing… ah monopoly. ^_^;
Who is the third player? (see knee and sock in third panel) And is there a fourth?
.__. At least she’s not going to jail…I once spent half the game in there…made me wish that game had lawyers…
never play monopoly with people you don’t already hate.
these are words to live by. last time i had an armchair thrown at me by a housemate who then moved out.
@ Panders:
Anyone who lands on the dreaded “Boardwalk Hotel” just before Go and isn’t let of the hook has the right to use it as grounds for divorce. Because that’s bullsh*t.
He got boardwalk, park place and hotels and I landed on him. That would make me want to make a big deal =P
Larisa swore that if Sandra EVER dumped Cloud, he was HERS.
But… it’s a state visit by the Empress of Northia! No charge!
Alternatively, allow Sandra to pay in kisses!
Sandra: So, that comes to… $1200, please! Which I believe wipes out all of your remaining assets, and then some! I win!
Cloud: Unless you were to allow me to pay you back with some of the kisses I’ve accrued…
Sandra: Nuh-uh! Kisses are not convertable!
Cloud: Fine. I concede. Now let’s have all the kisses that you owe me!
Sandra: *mmm* *peck* *kiss* *smooch* *smooch* *smooch*….
Cloud (thinks): Losing feels good…
Cloud will experience his “Sleeping on the sofa” moment soon.
I’ve never liked that game. That said…
Sandra, it’s only a game.
Seriously, you two?
Sandra needs to calm down.
Cloud needs to learn he’s not allow to win arguments like that.
@ Anonymous:
Oh so very true, you get to know a person’s true nature when you loan them your car, money or play Monopoly with them!
That sneaky mustachioed devil who feast on the anger of mortals with his black magic! He has grown powerful and will use his demonic powers to reak havoc upon the world. Soon parents will abandon their own children over such sorcery. The world will turn to anarchy and soon explode in chaos killing everyone. Damn I’m good at making conspiracies.
Oh well Sandra there are plenty of fish in the sea. Or I guess there’s always Yaoi right?
Hehehe
On a totally unrelated note I’m pretty good at monopoly. But it’s all for fun no hard feelings though.
Hey, it could be worse – they could be playing Diplomacy.
Well, it’s usually the small things that destroy relationships.
@ Panders:
You underestimate the power of Monopoly.
Best way to loose friendship for a short time
Can someone explain Sandra’s shirt to me?
I am literally crying right now cause my girlfriend just broke up with me over Monopoly. Not in the way you think though. I had played Monopoly with my buddies Friday night and she wanted me to clean it up right then. But I had to use the restroom, and I told her I would do it after that. Well I forgot, and she was at her parents house all weekend. When she came home about 20 minutes ago, she looked at the table and told me that she couldn’t be with a guy who is so forgetful. So I checked Sandra and Woo for some good ol comic relief, and…this.
@ Sambo:
I have the same problem. To me, it says “TREE (Gallium)”…. I’m like, huuuh?
You can’t see it, but I stopped to cry several times while I was typing that.
BTW, Monopoly is the worst design for a game.
Ever
Ever
Ever.

@ Sambo:
Uh maybe it’s important to the story later on. But it really reminds me of Treeko for some reason. I guess the creators just got XandY and caught a Treeko and fell in love with it or something.
She reminds me of my sister…
@ MawileCeyvis:
Real sorry to hear that dude. I hope my vote up has made you feel a tad better. 🙁
Let’s all face it! Monopoly’s the Devil in disguise! Ooooooooh damn it I really need to go start up a new comic entry about board games and relationships! Ho ha this is gold stuff right here! Thanks Sandra and Woo creators! I have found new inspiration!!!! Woohoo!!! (: D
Somehow I think Sandra is bluffing; Cloud is enjoying it too much. 🙂
Monopoly is technically communist propaganda anyway 😉
Am I the only one that thinks Sandra looks strangely attractive in that last panel for some reason?
*Larisa walks in and hears the conversation….*
A friend of mine recently told me she didn’t own Monopoly because it ruins friendship, I decided not to bring up the fact that I bought three of the game boards XD
@ Kaigakoi:
Dont you stay in jail for only three turns? XD must’ve been a short game
@ MawileCeyvis:
She was just looking for an excuse to break up. She would have done the same if you said you find her favorite TV show boring or something.

I have to go with Novil on this.
Although you’re going to feel bad for a while, ultimately you’ll be better off without someone who is so super-sensitive (or someone who isn’t that interested in you and was looking for an excuse to break up).
Now That would be good material for an April Fool’s joke to the readers.

I think he’d have to go a little further for that to happen. Something like sinking her battleship.
@ Antiyonder:
Don’t know why the quote didn’t show up fully, but just for clarification, I was responding to this comment:
“Cloud will experience his “Sleeping on the sofa” moment soon.”
@ Onihikage:
huh? I hope that was sarcasm because if there is a game in the world that lives of capitalism then it’s monopoly… and may be the game of life >.>
@ KMorisato:
I think that says ’64’, not ‘a’. But my eye keeps flipping back and forth between them. And that doesn’t help at ALL.
@ maravilla:
No, Monopoly really is, in its origin, anti-unrestrained capitalism. It’s not Communist (sort of Socialist, but not Communist), but the feature shown in this comic isn’t a bug, it’s part of the design of the original game – it was meant to demonstrate how *bleep*ing unfair the existing system was (and still is, even if it’s not as bad). Parker Brothers dialed it back from The Landlord’s Game (the original version) when they…eh…’created’ Monopoly, but that’s one thing they couldn’t really get rid of.
@ Kaigakoi:
Whenever a friend of mine went to jail I said, give them a nice spot in C Block.
@ Mr_Nabby:
Or temporary insanity at their trial.
Sandra’s shirt is a mathematical joke. It describes a number so incomprehensibly big that…well, I really have no clue whatsoever how to tell you how big the numbers are. Go read Wikipedia if you want to know just how stupendously big this number is.
(Spoiler)
The number is TREE(G_64). TREE (Friedman’s TREE function) is one of the fastest growing functions known to exist (TREE(1) is 1, TREE(2) is 3, and TREE(3) is so ridiculously big that just writing down the digits would fill the universe with your digits). G_64 (written G with a subscript 64), known as Graham’s number is arguably the largest number ever used in a serious mathematical proof (no, infinity is not a number). It’s the 64th number in a rapidly-growing sequence, with the first number (G_1) already too big to be written down in its full numerical form (as the number of digits would exceed the number of atoms in the universe).
So, combine a function that grows ridiculously fast, with a ridiculously big function argument, and you get something that might be considered the eldritch horror of recreational mathematics: a number big enough to explode heads.
Congratulations, Novil, you’ve really outdone yourself this time.
@ Kamino Neko:
Nice to see a Questionable Content icon
@ Panders:
Doesn’t matter, got paid.
There should be a numbephile episode for Sandra and Woo.
$2000? Man its been awhile since I played Monopoly, either its been adjusted for inflation, or Sandra landed on Boradwalk with a Hotel on it…a pain I have felt the sting of several times lol
Could have been worse. They could have been playing Stratego or Axis and Allies. Those games never end well.
@ Mr_Nabby: my wife made me sleep on the couch over that. joke was on her: my couch is WAY more comfortable! ha! XD
