- Zoey: Hi, Luna.
- Luna: Hello, Zoey.
- Zoey: Interesting sweater-skirt combination.
- Luna: Th– thank you.
- Zoey: But didn’t you wear the same thing on Monday already?
- Caption: Middle school girls: The only known species that always tortures its prey before devouring it.
- Zoey: And on the 17th, and on the 15th, and on the 11th, …

And meanwhile, Zoey seems to have weared that same set of clothes nearly every comic she is in at.
@ Leomon:
I cheated.
I routinely bought 3 or 4 pairs of Identical Pants at a time whenever I went shopping for new clothes.
It was so much easier than trying on a dozen or so More styles looking for something that worked.
I think my imagining Zoey going backward through the dates ad nauseam is a bit funny.
Quick question, though, is Luna Native American? She seems to have some of the features of one. If she is, that’d be pretty cool.
well, if we’re going to be precise i’d say that orca’s ALSO torture their prey before devouring, as they usually play with seal before eating them,
oh and spiders, because slow working venom that disolves flesh
@ Jerry:
As a big guy living in a country with smaller body size average I too cheated like this. Tbh I like the concept that someone got a costume theme going on.
And this, my fellow americans, is how schools end up requiring uniforms
Luna! Great, a new character!
Parochial schools all the way thru to college. The girls wore uniforms, we dressed in Dilbertian white shirt, navy blue slacks, and prescribed single-color (blue mostly, red during Advent) necktie. Dress shoes. The government (“public”) school kids were just a mess.
Still are, but that’s the purpose of government schools, isn’t it?
@ davemcnab:
That kind of thing isn’t as true anymore, I can tell you that from experience. Nowadays kids hardly ever come to each other’s rescue and the victims are the ones getting in trouble.
Watch it turn out that the girl they’re picking on barely has more than a few articles of clothing to her name and is lucky to get three solid meals a day.
*has no love for bullies*
@ Intelligence:
Two possibilities there: A) Luna has some favorite clothes she wears frequently, or B) Luna’s family is less wealthy than Zoey’s, and she (at age… 12?) doesn’t have her own walk-in closet full of fashion choices.
@ Novil:
Cats also torture prey, you know.
To all those constantly mentioning cats, orcas and the like and thinking that exact biological accuracy or their own smartassery is more important than making a fine joke in a comic:
Note the small word “always” in the text above. That is something all other mentioned animals don’t do.
@ Vandroiy:
Well the original meaning of “lunatic” means you’re scared of the moon.
God bless uniforms Ahah. Primary school till Highschool, problem solved!
And even then they tend to look at your shoes, bags or hairstyles… But still better I think.
@ AckAckAck:
Well, as I was 12 I can well remember how the boys in my class were picking on my clothes, as I had no brands at all. At that time, long time ago, in some part of Europe, Nike and Levi´s were a status symbol.
@ Lukkai:
Oops! I didn’t see that “always”! Sorry!
@ Tucci78:
As a person who went to a public school and doesn’t like your attitude towards it I have to say that since you were never in one you have no Right or way to judge. also last time i heard someone call public schools a mess they used it as tie in to try to defund public schools.
So very true. I was teased like this for wearing the same pants 2 days or more in a row =_=
@ Hinoron:
You were so right on that second one.

Bullies don’t need help to bully.
