She can electrolyze the water into Oxygen and Hydrogen and then burn it that way. There’s plenty of ways to burn water.

The actual challenge might be to find something that would set the glass AND the water on fire at the same time, without spattering them all around.
I can set pure water on fire!
I just need some wax, a couple of screws and a 9v battery – put them together in the right way, drop them in the water and hey presto the water starts splitting into hydrogen and oxygen: two very flammable gasses.

As a chemist and amateur astrophysicist I have to point out that creating heat would stave off the heat death of the universe, not provoke it. The heat death of the universe refers to what would happen when the average temperature in the universe falls to 0 K or absolute zero. At that time molecular and ionic bonds will no longer be able to sustain themselves and most _things_ will just fall apart. (Assuming I understood it correctly)

The heat death of the universe is a concept based on the idea that the universe will eventually run out of energy. Or, bluntly put, the useful energy in the universe is always going down.
Fire and heat dissipation is a very good way to burn off a very large amount of useful energy into forms that .. well aren’t.

Chlorine Pentaflouride – it’s liquid at room temp, unlike ClF3. Still a good idea to have running shoes though.

Oh dear. Has Larissa worked with those kinds of chemicals before? Stay Far away from her if she even Thinks about adding in phosphorous.
I love the fact that a lot of the comments are about how you can set water in fire, and that there’s enough substances that any one given isn’t repeated all over the page XD
On other note, I don’t know what’s Larissa’s plan, but I’m starting to think poor Luna won’t leave with her mind intact ^^U
