Our 666th strip is about
a shy girl trying on dresses and crying tears of joy.

- Sandra: Jennesta brought a couple of dresses for you.
- Jennesta: I designed them together with my aunt.
- Jennesta: Does it fit?
- Luna: Yes, and it’s wonderful.
- Jennesta: What about this one? Do you like it better with or without the ribbon?
- Luna: I… I can’t tell.
- Jennesta: Why not?
- Luna: Because my eyes are full of tears.

One shudders at the vile, diabolical acts that the writer must be performing to balance out the saccharine story we’re seeing. You monster.
Everyone deserves a little kindness. Especially the good at heart.
Awwwww ;_;
So cute
You goddamn beautiful sons of bitches. I love the authors.
Best part is that she is crying because she recognices the difference betwen “charity” and “help from friends”.

Hey, you try figuring this stuff out when it’s only ever spoken in the English classroom! It would be nice if instead of just studdying the novels in the classroom, if we learned at some point how to talk about them, and really how to talk in general.I mean we are physically capable of talking, but while trapped in an English class for 12 years, it would be nice to have picked up the skills necessary to discuss controversial topics or learned to determine which sources are likely to be accurate. (Being told Wikipidia is not an accurate source or being told not to trust users who do not reveal their names does NOT count – there are plenty of reasons for a person to hide their identity while online, and the social environment of the real world happens to be a particularly good one.)
For me the best part is her father’s face in the last panel. Well done.
That’s so sweet.
Im not even mad. This is very touching and very well done. Im glad I clicked that ad on omegle last year. Keep up the awesome work!
this one put a smile on my face today. Big Ups to this story arc.
Also love the arc and it’s direction. The feels bro, the feels.
@ Suitora:
It’s a nice fabric and all, but it’s not really worth worshipping.

Well that depends on which spelling of Nero you use, It’s was a number code

Both of those are wrong.
Wikipedia is an unreliable source – it’s often accurate, but there’s no way of knowing when it’s not, except by doing your own research.
You shouldn’t trust users whether they’re using their own names, someone else’s or an obvious pseudonym. You can’t tell if it’s really their own name anyway.
Can I use that picture of Sandra as a reaction pic?
@ roguebfl:
Out of curiosity I decided to check out what comic 616 was. It was Lydia asking to see Steve’s browser history.

Saving that for Gaia. 🙂
So sweet. I don’t think the poor girl’s ever had so much love and compassion in her life before. Not since her mother died, anyway.
Oooo, 666 strips. This should have happened on Halloween. Now that would be an interesting coincidence.
Aaawww this is wonderful (and the Deal with it was funny :P)
Clearly helping those in need is the work of the devil.
Jennesta really reminds of Kalinka Cossack from Mega Man 4.
@ Yuko Hoon:
0: nothing
1, the lonely winner
2 is good company
3’s a crowd, but both good things and bad things come in 3.
4 is death
5 the Illuminati
6 the perfect number
7 the lucky number
crazy 8’s
9: the sadistic number
10, the start of the countdown
crank it up to 11
12 the religious
13, black friday
333, number of choronzon female side of the beast
666, 616 numbers of the beast
numbers and letters, like any other symbols, with always have multiple meanings attached.
besides, 666 & 616 are just 2 different translations of the same thing
I’m dealing with it.
This… is wonderful. :’) So, so wonderful. My compliments to the comic’s creators!
I know he’s supposed to look happy, but Luna’s father just looks creepy in that last panel.
“Deal with it” lol

But that’s just it – those two tips which are OBVIOUSLY flawed, are practically all I have to go off of. Instead of knowing how to do that research, I am practically required only to trust who teachers tell me to, and those sources are also flawed and probably incorrect in some or more aspects. Instead of teaching us how to do this research effectively, teachers are directing us to sources, leaving people like myself to fend for ourselves in the wide world of sources.
This is definitely one of the most heartwarming arcs of the entire comic. It’s lovely to see how much good people can do for each other, even if they are fictional. <3
@ Yuko Hoon:
Actually, if you read the Bible it becomes quite clear that God does care about numbers and yes 666 is the number of the beast.
@ cddmanful:
I am sorry, sir or madam, but you are incorrect… in the original translation, the mark of the beast was given as 555… twas the catholic church that changed it to 666 as they beleived that 6 seemed more sinister a number than 5… though technically, as it was written in hebrew, neither is truly correct… but 555 is closer than 666…
@ Crazy Roth:The only way to get true information is to do it yourself. Science and math you test your own hypothesis and history… You travel back in time?
Yeah, this comic is worth every penny, and every dollar. You guys are awesome!
I am the square root of all evil! ^_-
Enjoy pie day everyone! ^_^
Happy Pi Day!
Yum yum yum…. eating my Half pie (1 Pi is only half a circle I.e half a pie… I.e Pi is a lie!
Long live Tau!!!)
I’ve been a follower since comic 300. This… This just made my night. Such heart warming friendship they have. Brb crying.
WOO. So lets teach people that if you are pathetic enough that the world will hand you everything while you don’t have to work at all That’s right Kids. You too can have everything you ever wanted, just be welfare kiddies.
honestly. this whole series of strips disgusts me. I get that it sucks to be poor, out of work, not be able to get a job, but, remember “give a man a fish, he eats for a day. Teach a man to fish, he eats for a life time.” This comic is “do all the fishing for the man, and he’ll be unable to provide for himself once you’re gone “
@ Warcodered:
Strangely enough, if you asked a certain denomination of Christianity at a certain point in history, that’d totally have been a true statement to them… were talking about a faith that banned polyphonic music for less than two centuries and dancing for who-knows-how-long!
666 ectually was a secret code and stands for Nero, the emperor. They couldn’t write the name because of censoring and stuff so they used a code. It has somethingto do with old hebrew and how the numbers are pronounced or something, forgot the details ^^*

Ok so here from someone studying cultural studies at the university
Actually wikipedia is not a bad start for any topic, but you can’t totally rely on it. Yet usually wikipedia gives sources of its own! You can get a general overview from the article, then check Wiki’s sources, the you should have a basic start for your research.
Not it kind of depends what sources you found, here shortly what is “good sources”. First of all it’s good if it’s “official” so having a webside from an author where he/she writes her biography definitely is reliable, any Blog from some fan not so much. Usually books, especially from university presses, are more reliable, anything that ways printed officially at least was controlled by someone. If it’s university press you can at least guess it was academically proved. If it’s a not well known university you might want to check it out first, not every college or university can be taken quiet seriously either. To find such literature university libraries are a good source. At least at my university anyone can go in and look at books. You can’t take it home if you are no student of the university but you can at least sit there and read, so it’s a possibility. Usually libraries have an online search engine so you can just look for “gender” or what ever and they’ll give you a huge list of books and where to find them.
When you have your first book ready you can take their bibliographies for further readings. So sticking with the “gender” example: I look for gender and find a book “Introduction to gender studies”, since I don’t know much yet I thin ‘ok seems like a start’ then I go through it and already realize a few ‘must reads’ like Connel, Butler etc. So I look at the bibliographie which books seem relevant and then I can look for ‘Gender trouble’ etc. tepending on my interests. You can do this any number of times, because also Butler and Connel cite other authors and have a bibliography, so depending how deep you want to go you can go.
Ok, if you prefer primarily online research, look out for real names, if you find an article and it seems like a legit name, google that name, see what info you find on that person and whether it seems legit this article is from that person! If no name is given or you can’t find information that seems legit, you should expect it to be an unreliable source! Another way is by looking in how far the article you read is proven! So let’s say you find an interesting article on you topic but no info on the author, but the article cites relevant books and people you already encountered or find a lot of information an, and you also control he does not change the citation etc. then you can still assume it’s a relevant article 😉
I hope I was of some help.
“Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime.”
Just not sure if this is a good way… No tears in my eyes…
@ Five:
The first step to ending poverty is to get people out of it. What good is knowing how to fish if you have nothing to fish with?
@ MorbidMobius:
Nothing to fish with? You dont have a hands?
furniture, money, meat, dresses… first and most important step should be to find for that man a good job…
But yes, the kids are trying… thats nice…
WAIT! I OBJECT! THIS IS OFFENSIVE!!!!!!! I’ll let you know why it’s offensive as soon as I can thing of anything!
Seriously, I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again. This has turned out to be my favorite story arc by a long shot. Thank you Novil and Powree.
Doggoneit! Now I need a tissue!
Where is the “Like” button?
Well Done.
this story arc has brought me to tears EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. that i read it. these people are giving of themselves and are only receiving gratitude and appreciation for their generosity. and you know what? THAT MAKES IT PERFECT. to be strong enough to support others, that is the the single most glorious action any sentient life form can perform.
This comic has me crying and laughing at the same time. Its so wonderful.
Gotem
Random MLG noises
I know I’m a bit late on this but that Girl kinda looks like Mami a bit
This has to be the most touching set of strips i’ve ever seen…..though I suppose someone will always try to top it.
