It’s a trick assignment. She’s expected to burn the books.
Remember, if you get a burnout from all the studying, you’ve already passed.
I think this is a perfect end to this story arc, actually. I do hope we see more of Luna though!
I can think of a couple of good things that could be in panel 5.
“Once you’ve finished reading it, it becomes burning material”
“That big book there will help you test your knowledge”
“You mean it has questions and practice problems?
“Not quite.”
(The book is labeled “Kindling”)

Not saying Luna ‘needs’ a boyfriend , or really has time for one, but it would be interesting if she ended up with on of the most well-liked boys in the school as a love interest. Sort of show those girls who were ragging on her for her outfits that it’s not the clothes that make the girl.
Plus a 3rd guy added to the mix with Cloud and Lawson might spark some interesting stories.
