On the one hand, having two separate panels 4 and 5 seems to slow down the action. On the other hand, I don’t see how they could have been merged.
Also: Rosebud was the name of his sled!
There is an interesting Kickstarter project of a guy who wants to publish a book containing the first published strip/page of each participating webcomic.

Perhaps you should start reading the other webcomic by this author/illustrator duo then. ;P
I thought panels 4 and 5 slowing down the action was fine… in a TV show or movie, you’d have some bit of comedic slow-motion there maybe. In a comic you split the dive between 2 or 3 frames. I found this comic hilarious BTW 😎

i don’t read Gaia because this comic is almost too fantastic for me. More fantasy in a comic would be too much.
