- Woo: Why’s your dad re-playing Baldur’s Gate 2?
- Sandra: Well, it’s a great game.
- Woo: But there are so many exciting new games!
- Sandra: I guess he’s also feeling a bit nostalgic about it.
- Woo: Nostalgia…
- Woo: … that’s a difficult concept to understand when your species has an average life expectancy of three years.

Checking the archives, in the course of six years of external time, the girls have grown about one year in boob size and maybe a year or two in height. So about one year passes in the comic strip for every three to six years external time.

Wild raccoons don’t die of old age.
Human-supported raccoons can live to over 25. I expect Woo to reach 30 if Novil and Powree keep this strip going that long.
I think the reason he is playing Baldurs Gate 2 is because a new Mod came out and he totally had to play it XD
..and now excuse me, I actually haven’t checked the Modding communities in some time.
(which for me is one of the reasons BG2 is one of the best Games ever. The Game itself is amazing, don’t get me wrong. But its the fans who are the real heart and make the game simply unforgettable.)

I seriously doubt it.
Even if Woo shows up less and less often as time goes on, he is more likely to become the new “Barney Google”.
Do you (or did you) read the comic: “Barney Google and Snuffy Smith” ??
Even though he was the Original Title Lead Character, over the years Barney has faded out until he makes an appearance about 0nce every 5 Years or so.
But, he still gets Lead Billing in the title.
Hey, it wasn’t that long ago people might have worried that Sandra was going to go away and the strip become All Woo, All the Time. They would have been Wrong, of course.

Nope. You apparently missed the posts about Raccoons living 20 Years or more in protected settings. The normal 3 year average lifespan only happens in the Wild where they fall prey to large predators like Cars & Semi Trucks.

While the average life expectancy for a wild raccoon is 3 years in many places for many different reasons, I’ve known some *in the wild* for 6-8 years! ROM, who was the alpha coon for a LONG time in a study I’ve been doing of them, I’m assuming died of old age – but I saw him consistently for 7 years before I stopped seeing him come around, and he was around when I first started the study, so he may have even been 1 or 2 years old then!
@ mittfh:
Well stated, fellow friendly fleshling
Isn’t he 7 years old…….
Why, whatever do you mean, Woo Clone VI?
@ Arent: Right? I totally squee’d when I saw it. xD Minsc and Boo and Jan Jansen – I need to replay BG2 now…
BAULDER’S GATE YYYEEEAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH
@ RubyBloodDemonKing: sorry i had a moment there
@ cat:
2000? The comic started in October 2008…
@ Jerry:
Wow, way to act pretentious. Not everyone here reads every little comment.

Neither do I, but I did manage to catch That one.
.
@ Vadik2004:
If you like Minsc go read “Legends of baldur’s Gate” comics.
He and his fearsome hamster get to be revived by an entropic caster.
And Boo fights a dragon in issue 5!
There’s nothing wrong with revisiting old games. I’m not a big game player, but once in a while I’ll revisit some of my old computer games. I still have Phantasmagoria and Shivers from Sierra Games, and once in a while I’ll reinstall them on the computer if I’d deleted them, or just open them back up if they’re still on there.
Sandra won’t be happy at all in 2~3 years.
The squeaky wheel gets the kick!
in Sandra’s shoes I’d probably start tearing up at the thought.. “wait, that means you’ll be gone soon.”
