I have posted the first batch of submissions I received for this year’s artwork contest!
What’s life without a controversial story arc every now and then?
Of course this touchy subject will be handled in a mature and thoughtful manner serve as the source for lots of immature jokes.
If you need even more to discuss, here’s a spoiler for this story arc: Goldman Sachs, the Wall Street bank, becomes involved in some way… I’m sure you didn’t expect that. 😉
- Text message: For your birthday, a pic of me in my birthday suit. LYL, Larisa
- Caption: Send to all
- Caption: Send to Landon
- Larisa: Oopsie.

Uh oh.
@ athroughzdude:
You said it.
Fortunately for all involved, and by a strange quirk of fate, Larisa was born fully clothed in a strapless onesie.
“All” and “Landon” is not so different from each other… well at least 2 letter are the same, though in different order too… LOL
On the other note… I really hope for Larisa and Landon arc… I was waiting for so long!!!
This seems like yet another problem that can be solved by fire. But it will take a lot this time…
Who exactly is “all”?
Why would she have Goldman Sachs in her address book?
I feel like I’m still being pandered to……….In that case, I would like to see some Sandra nekomimi next. Get to it, Novil!
Hm ok it is needed for the strip to work… but what crazy app has a send all together with a send X so near?
Bahamuttone wrote:
This will actually be explained in the next strip!
Finally, a comic that dares to explore the repercussions of poor UX in mobile apps… controversial indeed, Novil XD
Here’s hoping she has a separate account just for Landon to prevent such accidents from having long lasting repercussions…but i highly doubt it. (hopefully no heart break involved). I do feel a certain female, who has recently revealed her gender attraction, is gonna get a happy surprise!
This is Larisa so she probably has millions in her contacts
Just… ease with the sadly inevitable shaming. Please.
Cloud is going to get one, isn’t he?
this is why this is my favorite webcomic, it really isn’t afraid of making arcs about controversial themes
To be honest I don’t think anyone will be suprized by anything other than the fact that in the pic she isn’t being bathed by Fire.
This actually happened to a friend of mine when i was deployed in the US Marines. He’d written a naughty email to his girlfriend but mis-clicked when he was addressing it and accidentally sent it to the Command Group. He got in trouble but it was so hilarious….
I thought she boke up with him after the Aquarius incident. 😉
so….. How old are these kids again?
All the guys (and Zoey) could not be reached for several hours that day.
Larisa: Hang on… I have retcon powers, don’t I…? Well I ought to… no harm in trying: RETCON! …Yes! Now, let’s see if I can retcon away Sandra’s relationship with Cloud… no, wait- let’s see if I can retcon away the Cubist movement… and Expressionism… and Fauvism… and Yoko Ono……
@ dyingdemon:
Could it indeed be a setup for that, with a grand co-incidence thrown in?
Zoey: Well, it is my birthday… but I never expected anything… especially not this… but yes, this is quite the birthday treat! (texts) Thank you! <3 *send* Or should I say more… or maybe respond in kind……? Or maybe just invite her to my party instead! Yes, that's a much better idea! 🙂
Uhh, isn’t Larisa like 14 years old?
Oopsie indeed!
Well, happy birthday to all… And expect a visit form the party van.
Doing your own R34?
Congratulations Larisa, you just gave Chris Hansen’s career a new lease on life. Now if you’ll excuse me, he’s asking me to sit down with him now.

Still a bit younger even I think. So? You think kids of that age are not prone to stupidity, especially in conjunction with awakening sexual interests?
And it’s not as of the drawn pictures per se are risque. Anything inappropriate here is entirely in the watcher’s head.
I see story arc this as an opportunity for, not only a few laughs but also a good cautionary tale with a positive message for younger readers. No good can comes from taking nude selfies….
Oh yeah, nothing bad will come of this, no absolutely horrible life changing repercussions will happen from this one little action.
@ AshKetchup:
Here, have a relevant strip from the same comic you are reading RIGHT NOW.

Well, if this doesn’t infuriate Landon’s mom to new heights nothing will.
But it does go to show how confident Larissa is in her sense of self-which is great to see in a character her age. She probably doesn’t see anything wrong with giving her boyfriend something candid of her for his birthday-granted she probably didn’t take into account what that would do to poor Landon’s blood pressure-but that’s just lack of forethought and not real malice.
However, being that confident and self-assured might not sit well with those around her who receive that pic. Again, Landon’s parents (esp his mom) will NOT see anything humorous or romantic about a girl Larissa’s age sending a topless pic to a boy (I’m better his father will be ‘parentally upset’ and have to lay down a few ground rules for the future, but as a man he’ll probably be at least grateful Landon’s proven himself to be trustworthy a young man to be rewarded such a picture, despite how ‘wrong’ it may or may not be).
Also of note is how Richard might see Larissa’s picture as something that might encourage Sandra to do the same at some point with Cloud. Granted Sandra seems to have a bit more foresight on taking responsibility for the results of your actions, but it’s entirely possible Sandra might decided that Cloud deserves something as equally special as Landon, adding another twist in an already tentative relationship.
And then there’s the school when the principal and staff find out. Oh boy. Detention for sure and there’s no telling if expulsion might be in the cards, depending on how strict they are about PDA even if it didn’t happen on campus.
All this will blow over in time of course in due time, but Lar’s about to run into the mother of all storms. I really hope she and Landon pull through and keep their relationship intact.
I for one am glad this is being addressed: Sandra, Cloud, Lar and Landon are all approaching that age where ‘stuff starts to get REAL’ and even in a webcomic it needs to be address so the couples involved can understand what’s ahead of them and can move forward, much to the delight of the fans (and the characters)!
I like pretty much every comic Larisa is in. This is gonna be an interesting arc…!
Don’t worry, this is the 5 times she’s done this
Larisa is about to be in very big trouble. In the real-world American school system this would get her expelled immediately and probably arrested. CYS would probably get involved and a long, difficult conversation with Larisa’s parents would ensue.
Yay:D Immature Jokes?
This is exactly why i love this comic

Old enough to have sexual urges and thoughts. Old enough to know what their anatomy is and to have found out what is going on with it. People don’t turn 18 and suddenly become sexually mature (in the biological sense) with all the emotions, urges, thoughts, and anatomical details that goes along with that. While not necessarily mature enough to own and control all those thoughts/emotions/drives, they do have them and they do things about them. There is value in exploring that aspect of society. It just has to be done appropriately. Novil isn’t portraying Larisa as a sexual object here, but as a young woman who sees herself as such and is comfortable with herself as such. This is something kids their age do, and consequences/shenanigans follow such actions. Heck, many adults don’t know much better than Larisa about protecting their own privacy, separating “private affairs” from work affairs (I’m looking at you, government peeps who used your government emails to sign up for dirty sites…), or how to generally be responsible with the technology at their disposal.
I look forward to seeing how Novil and Powree handle this, both from the social-commentary perspective and, yes, the comedic perspective.
If she sent it to All, how come I didn’t get it?
Hooo boi…
Understatement of the century Larissa.
@ Robert:
Just stop a second and think about what you’re implying…
@ Jim:
Yeah Robert, how dare you imply that you could get encompassed in an undefined “all”? How dare you make a joke about virtual characters? You really are a terrible person.
Are you being serious right now Jim?
What’s amazing is how girls posting racy pictures of themselves isn’t considered common yet.
@ Bergman:
She couldn’t stay away from the Land-man ya dig.
So is this the part where Larisa says “eh, oh well” and moves on? ;P
And who has a “send to all” button in their messaging app anyway?
Anyone else think Larisa’s boobs magically changed size in those panels? Or am I just being a total creep?
@ Ajed32:
A really bad app developer apparently.
@ Qohen:
you know, and I’m REALLY not trying to sound creepy, but I’m glad I’m not the only one who noticed that.
NOT THAT I WAS LOOKING specifically, but the sudden change from panel 1 to 2 caught my ‘hey, what’s wrong with this OHH that’s what’s wrong’ sense.
@ Qohen:
@ Leomon:
It’s her posture, I think.

But a pose like that would stretch out and flatten her chest a bit. I would say it is artistic license to make her nudity more noticeable without panning down any farther.
