Character occurrence frequency 2008 to 2015
Here are two diagrams that show how often the main and supporting characters of Sandra and Woo appeared in each year. Note that there were only 20 strips in 2008. This year was really dominated by Sandra who also had a prominent role in almost all strips she appeared in. It’s also interesting to see that all supporting characters always get featured in at least a couple of strips every year.

Number of new strips per year:
- 2008: 20
- 2009: 105
- 2010: 107
- 2011: 106
- 2012: 104
- 2013: 100
- 2014: 104
- 2015: 104
HEY! What about Cioatlamacasque?!
Why do I feel like it’s been absolutely AGES since Larisa was in a strip…
@ d3thph03nix:
You mean like the latest one?
Zoey, Michelle, and Luna now seem to be worthy of being considered supporting characters. But, that could just be from the fact that they received a lot of coverage recently in 2014, so my judgement could be blurred.
Why not make a chart showing how often minor characters appeared in the comic? And honestly, Butterfly has only appeared for a short while before going into obscurity. She needs a comeback, but I can’t think of a plot to make it meaningful, and not crappy filler.
Needs more Cloud.
@ tejon:
That is the best spelling for her name that I’ve seen. XD
There appears to be an inverse relationship between appearances by Sandra and appearances by Cloud… this seems odd to me….
@ Paradox:
It’s the original, which made it easier to look up the precise spelling vs. S&W’s phonetic version. 😛
Same complaint as previous years from me… I want more Landon+Larisa (I mean strips where they are together “or” is not want I’m looking for, it must be “and”)

He seems to be rather tied to Sandra, or rather, his relationship with her. His amount of screen-time depends directly on how much Cloud x Sandra that was going on. His involvement peaks when they officially became a couple, but then goes down. After he and Sandra finally share their first kiss, his involvement goes further down. This is opposed to Larisa who operates much more independently.
I think the main focus should be to improve the third statistic, “Number of new strips per year”.
Well, the conclusion is obvious:
WE WANT BUTTERFLY BACK! (Also, more Shadow and Sid, please…)
OK, just kidding. I think the comics is great the way it is. Thanks for all the great work.
Yes, riot, violence, and hooliganism is common. Oh wait, that would be soccer/fussball/Futbol, not American Football.
Needs more Larisa.
