I feel like I am watching the beginning of a horror movie, before everything goes south.
I really like these kinds of pages. I just wish it wasn’t coupled with the burgeoning feeling that a piano will descend from on high to ruin everything.

This webcomic usually subverts tropes and expectations, right? right? HAHA That’s clearly what is happening here guys!!!!! It seems as though we are being set up for a horrible tragedy, but it the end there will be no tragedy!! AH HAHA HAHA what a twist, almost got me there HAHAHA.

Unless the title is just one big troll playing with oir expectations. Maybe this is all just a pleasant dream that Woo or someone is having and the “Rude Awakening” is them being woken up in an unpleasant way. It’s not like we haven’t had dream sequences before, after all.
Anyone else get the feeling that Woo is gonna get hit by a truck?

“Rude awakenings”, while unpleasant, are not always -horrible-. Y’all don’t get in such a tizzy until you have reason to! Mind your blood pressure. 🙂
I’m getting bombarded by free iPhone scam adds, that I have to delete the tab to get rid of, every five comics or so.

Hm… Woo hasn’t brought Lily and the kits back to Sandra’s house before, has he?
My ‘Oh my God something horrible is going to happen’ sense is tingling.
Yeah no, I think someone’s just going to wake up and life won’t be quite so hunky dory, like arguments at breakfast and kits being brats.
Don’t forget that a horrible supernatural fate awaits anyone who harms the kits.
Woo is a title character.
That leaves Lily as most likely victim.
In which case, the four raccittens would have to move in with Sandra and her dad. Comedy ensues.
Or the neighbors see a whole bunch of raccoons running around the backyard and calls pest control or something *gulp* worse…
My worry is, Woo wakes up in his cage after his previous owner trnaqed him.
If something happens to kids I will stop supporting this comic…
The title of the last two strips and the content of them makes me feel like I’m about to have my soul crushed.

Rude Awakening Part 3 : ….
Sandra and Woo are NOT the main protagonists of their story!!!
If something happen to either Lily or his kits, I hope Woo will self-activate his expert mode.
It’s interesting, even without the title, there’s just something foreboding about the panels…maybe it’s the purposely close-up tight looking views leaving much unseen and the fact that the characters are barely even looking “out” of it, seemingly vulnerable to anything that could be just out of view.
Wonder where that kit is pointing in the last panel?
Don’t mind me I just really get into analyzing comics right now aha.
These strips are awesome, but heartbreaking at the same time because of that sense of dread…
I’ve got a bad feeling about this…

Been trying to remember if anything of this sort has happened before in the past 784 strips. Nothing close to foreboding as this since “Secrets” in strip 126 and “Larisa’s big secret” in strip 528, where there was a sort of foreboding that Larisa was suffering from some unname disease. That secret took over 5 years to come out though. Now I getting my blood pressure up for yet another bomb.
Jesus, now I’m thinking which secondary characters (for lack of better word) might bite the dust either now or in future?

2) One of the kits?
3) Landon?
4) Zoey?
5) Michelle?
6) Luna?
7) Ruth?
8) Echo?
Next week, I pray that will breath a sigh of relief, followed subsequently by laughter, then rage as I chase after Novil for getting my blood pressure up.
This is going to suck waiting for the next one.
I don’t like how this is lulling us into a false sense of security with a title like “A Rude Awakening” and children running around.

I’m guessing it’ll be a very heavy shoe and it will drop on someone’s head most unpleasantly.
Somehow I get the feeling next strip will STILL be a waiting, tension-enhancing strip.
On the other hand, it’s amazing how these two strips, perfectly peaceful in themselves, can cause such tension just because of the title.
