I love Sandra’s look in the last panel. It’s so subtle, but it really sells the strip.
- Cloud: Water…!
- Sandra: Please carry out a “Find” throw against difficulty 1.
- Cloud: 14.
- Sandra: You find a horn in the sand.
- Cloud: ??
- Sandworm queen: Why have you awoken me from my slumber, miserable wretch?!
- Sandra: Please carry out an “Escape” throw against difficulty 713.
- Cloud: I really shouldn’t have eaten the last piece of strawberry cake…

Bad Dungeon-Master From Hell?
Well, maybe Cloud’s next character will be less like him. On the other hand, if this has been going on for a while, why even bother?
*soundtrack by Toto begins playing*
That’s real immature gming Sandra, real immature gming.
Haha! Worst dungeon master else. I noticed that #795 was not updated yet to not be the latest comic. Is this common? Does this happen after some time? Just a heads up. Been following the comic for a while after discovering it ~nov last year. Keep them coming 😀
Isn’t this strip amp opportunity to reuse that “Cloud as an adult” – tag?
Well. Well i have been in “Player vs Dice” situation, where I would fail several saving throws in a row and roll 1 on initiative, but “Player vs DM” didn’t really happen to me yet… =)
Though I do have a DM which would go like “Wait, you haven’t been down even once right? Ok, he shoots arrows at you, because he wants you to lose concentration on your Bane spell”…

Right, you could almost think she is still a child and not a grown up, 30 year old adult.
Sorry, I think I lost your point somewhere in the settings realities 😉
…Still hot…
This is why one half of a couple isn’t supposed to GM for the other. But, it’s also why you offer to share the last piece.
There’s a reason why “The GM’s Ex-Girlfriend” is a monster in Munchkin. Just think of this as a better version.

It takes a few hours; I think it is automated. I’m assuming you bookmark the last comic like I do. 🙂
I don’t quite get the joke. I’m 95% sure it is a D & D joke; Sandra as game-master is being mean, right?
I’ve never played the game. *sadtrombone.wav*
Aside from me not being completely sure what the joke is, panel 4 is hilarious and panel 6 is nightmare material! Cloud isn’t pleased at all and Sandra looks like she’s holding back a laugh.
Great strip! S&W gets my TWC’s vote today. 😀
Now Sarah, *sigh* I kind of agree with you. Lol. 😉
What did Cloud do to tick off Sandra?
*wild mass guessing ensues*

He ate last piece of Strawberry Cake? I think it could be enough of a reason, especially at their age…

Well I’m a dumbass. I guess the sandworm messed with my memories! As punishment I don’t get to comment again until Thursday. 🙂
Cloud, you must conquer Shai-Hulud to please Queen Sandy the First!
Hell hath no fury like a GM scorned. 😉
Is 713 a Harry Potter reference? (Pretty sure the Philosopher’s Stone was in vault 713 in Gringotts)
Damn. Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned, it seems. Or in this case, a girlfriend.
What’s that, like, a x6 on the ‘you effed up’ meter? Poor bastard. He never stood a chance.
@ aeTIos:
This seems to happen a lot with the rss
Do you happen to watch Rooster Teeth content? Becuse they just started a D&D playthroungh just in the last couple of weeks.
Could be worse, Cloud. She could be running Tomb of Horrors.

I think b stands for “bastard” … like in “bastard operator from hell”.
‘To check your teeth, it’s time for your trip to the dentist.’ *Sandworm cringes ‘Already?! But I thought that I didn’t have to come back for a year. ‘That was before you ate those spice merchants.’

It could be worse, it could of been chocolate cake
Oh damn a Sand Shark.
So, what does BDMFH mean?
“Please carry out an “Escape” throw against difficulty 713.”
Actually it should be “Please roll an ‘escape’ check versus difficulty 713” (at least thats the D&D jargon, don’t know in other games).

I’m pretty sure that’s a sandworm, though they don’t normally have eyes or speech.

Anyway he’s Duned. Didn’t Paul turn into a sandworm, who probably had speech. Some

Haha, I’m currently reading dune and my first thought when I saw this was, “OMG, DUNE!!!”. Awesome play by Sandra. That’ll teach him to eat the last piece of cake XD
Heaven hath no fury like a dungeon masters scorn.
Sandra may well shoot herself in the foot. She will worsen the game for Benjamin and Theo as well and they may decide to switch dungeon master. A dungeon master should not power trip.
@ Zenix:
the first thing role playplayers learn is the GM/DM etc is god. the second thing is “rocks fall evryone dies”
HoNk :O)
And then Richard the Warlock comes flying out of it, having charred most of its insides, and says a quirky one liner before going FWOOSH!
What? Wrong comic? Oh…
this calls for either flipping the table and then storming off or the slightly less appropriate “tearing your character sheet into confetti and throwing it in the dm’s face” and then storming off
A Shai Hulud with eyes?
Oh yes, I totally hear Toto playing in the background when the sandworm emerged.
On a side note, DMs (Dungeon Masters) can be pricks and if they do have it in for you, they can throw nearly hopeless situations at you that you’re almost guaranteed to fail.
*Sandra’s dad has the final piece of cake and is about to eat it.*”I don’t like cake that much…No, I’m not obsessed with cake, what are you talking about?.” Sandra says. “Cloud, I don’t like cake that much right?” *Cloud slits his throat*(WITH HIS HANDS) *He looks at Sandra’s Dad.* “What’s the message here?”(Sandra’s dad) Cloud: NOOOOOOO YOU’RE DOOMED!!!!
Unless Cloud’s last name is Atredies he is in deep trouble!
@ Walter:
LOL dude you beat me to the Dune reference. Good job!

Well, a BOFH is a Bastard Operator From Hell (Operator being an old-fashioned term for a Network or System Administrator), so substitute Dungeon Master for Operator and the feminine verson of insulting words that start with “B”, and you get the Bitchy Dungeon Master From Hell.
Well… Cloud is going to be quite the looker when he gets older…
I wonder how Yuna will turn out…
@ TvTropesgotmehooked:
If you have read the other comments in this section, then you should have a handle on the joke.
Tl;dr: Cloud ate the last piece of strawberry cake. Sandra, being the “All Powerful” DM in the game, made the scenario out so she can visit revenge on Cloud.
