Don’t miss to check out the following news post with the submissions ranked #13 to #25 of our yearly Sandra and Woo and Gaia artwork contest.

- The Devil: All right, see you in a bit!
- The Devil: Karl will come in a moment to help us with our little malware problem.
- Larisa: Good.
- Larisa: Cool phone.
- The Devil: Yes, it’s the latest model from hell’s workshop.
- Larisa: And it’s so thin! Steve Jobs would–
- Larisa: –Oh.
- The Devil: I’m a huge fan! He doubled the workload of the damned, and they were even happy about it!
I always knew. lol
Now I’m curious about what the angels (and god) use.
@ AndiJN:
Me too
God I hope Novil and Powree don’t take any flak for this comic. >.<
Lol, you guys were right about his wardrobe choice!
And I was wondering from where he was getting all this gadgets. Also, clever joke 🙂
Technically, I don’t think he should be glad about the damned being happier.
They have an exclusive deal with Sony.
So,Steve Jobs is in hell now?
@ lookiemookie:
Wherever he is, he’s turning a profit!
@ Pony-kour:
Doesn’t mean they can’t scout talent.
@ AndiJN:
Maybe Nokia?
@ Javier:
let’s remember that the evil sociopath always throwing people in hell is not satan. he is just the leader of a failed revolution against a cruel murderous dictator. and so far the only writings depicting satan as the evil one in the stories are those propagandistic pro-god ones of the bible.
@ Pony-kour:
I KNEW it!

Palm?
@ Javier:
The devil of this universe doesn’t seem to be a sadistic bastard (remember how he actually reproached God for being cruel). Just more of a trickster, self-serving agent of chaos. If the happiness of his unpaid labourers results in increased output, that’s fine by him.
Hahahahaha!
But is it water and/or impact and/or fire proof?

But…but…it’s suppose to be HELL. So, SJ must have been forced to use nothing but Windows 3.1 or even DOS on his newly designed gadgets and find some way to make it work.
@ Aldin:
Making DOS/Win work on anything would put him through hell. Oh wait.
@ AndiJN:
This reminds me of The Wish List by Eowin Colfer, near the end of the book St Peter gets a computer to process souls because an IT engineer -finally- made it into heaven xD

This is so true… But unfortunately it’s generally ignored by the vast masses. Try to look at the actions of God and compare them to those of Hitler… It would seem that Hitler was comparably a nice guy… http://new4.fjcdn.com/pictures/God+vs+hitler_981a87_3571036.jpg
@ AndiJN:
Nokia E52 what else!
Yay! I was right. I knew Steve would revolutionize hell.
Just their luck, God uses Linux.
Figured something like that would happen with Steve Jobs. You buy a new phone that doesn’t fit your old charger, and that’s the guy you worship?
@ Thanatos:
That would be if we take God as an active contributor of most of those messes and not take them as Christian “propaganda” displaying their God’s willingness to aide His people in time of need.
Not to mention Bible was written by human hands, supposedly inspired by God, but could as well have been influenced by some other sources… Since it’s to argue towards more active God seeing how inactive He’s been for the past times. Passive Creator God would likelier choice…
Not of course even mentioning human’s limited capability to understand things, which leaves me even wondering if God is truly named “I am” or was it just Moses inability to comprihend God’s name that left him believe that the part before the name was actually the name…
And as last notion, as pointed out, Hitler, Stalin and the like were just men. Powerful men, but mortal nonetheless. If they had been omnipotent Gods… I do believe most of us wouldn’t have been even born, let alone the way we are now.
But even after all that, yes, God has been shown to quite the douche on several occasions…
@ Velgar:
And remember kids, even when writing with a cellphone, bother to check your writings. Makes much more easier to read that the example above…
@ Velgar:
Strictly speaking, the phrase the Abrahamic god introduced himself with to Moses was “I am that I am” (or, more literally, “I am who I am”). Supposedly, the importance of the phrase stems from the conception that the Abrahamic god exists by himself for himself, and is the uncreated Creator who is independent of any concept, force, or entity. Ergo, it’s not that he exists, it’s that he IS existing. As in, the concept of existing.
Also, about the possibility that most of us not having been born, let alone the way we are now, if Stalin or Hitler were omnipotent: Neither existing nor never existing are good or bad concepts, they’re just facts. If Hitler was omnipotent, then I wouldn’t have existed, or at least not looked as I do right now, that’s for sure. But if I didn’t exist, then I’d have no concept of existing, either; I’d be no different from any of the other sperms and eggs that go unfertilized, and unfertilized eggs and wasted sperm are not inherently bad things. They just are… If I did exist but looked different, well, odds are I wouldn’t care any more or less than I care about looking the way I do irl, because then I’d be who I was born as in that reality. Heck, what’s to say that the Abrahamic god (provided he exists) doesn’t interfere with how humans are born? Maybe we would’ve been able to be born with green hair and blue skin if it weren’t for him? …Regardless, I’d say never being born is preferrable to being born into an existence predestined (via omniscience) to damnation. But that’s just me.
I must compliment you both; this is without a doubt the cutest and cleverest arc that you’ve done yet. Kudos to you both! I hope you do more “skits” like this in the future.

OH, THAT JOBS!
😀
@ Martin:
They’re still on those hefty ones from the 1980’s. Tech pros are notoriously atheisitc. (Comes from a job that requires heavy logic skills and religions that haven’t updated for internal consistency in nearly 2000 years.)
@ AndiJN:
Android of course
Karl Koch is on the Devil’s payroll? You’d think Eris would’ve called dibs…
@ elessal:
Pope Lucifer approves.
Guys, let’s not forget, that the biggest murderers in history, Hitler, Stalin, Mao Zedong, Pol Pot, were all Atheists, sometimes using Religion for their goals.
@ MOELANDER:
uh… bro… I don’t know about the others, I would have to brush up on my history, but the only ones saying hitler was atheist were the christians who did not want to be associated with him, nor he with their church. there is absolutely 0 evidence that hitler was an atheist while there is plenty to the contrary, in his grand speech hitler states, “we were convinced that the people need and require this faith (christianity). we have therefore undertaken the fight against the atheistic movement…..” the whole hitler wasn’t a real christian thing is bs.
If you pray to god, and believe in the bible you’re a christian, murdering thousands or millions of people has no effect on that, you can do terrible things for your beliefs. there is no proof hitler didn’t pray or read his bible, no proof that he didn’t truly believe he was leading a holy war. you want to hate hitler, you want to hate atheists, therefore you say hitler is an atheist. that is wrong, it is discrimination against people who do not share your beliefs and the exact kind of ignorant and sheeplike thinking that has made it so easy for people like hitler to achieve their goals.
What’s more whether hitler was christian or simply claimed to be doesn’t matter, he told his followers, who were christian, their enemies were the enemies of the church, the jews, muslims, atheists, countless people died, believing his cause was the cause of GOD, that their crusade was god’s will, and that the jews were the enemies of their god, to be treated as less than human, that they were evil and were to be destroyed. whether he was christian or atheist or jew, he claimed to speak with the mouth of the christian god, and the people listened.
The crusades, the holocaust, that is the history of Christianity, a history of blood and war and death, had he won everyone would now follow his christian faith, not judaism and certainly not atheism. So you may continue to preach that he was not one of you, and condemn his actions, yet the others you condemn the gays, the atheists, the jews, were the same ones he put to the sword. Your words are poison and lies and we have not forgotten the truth, we shall NEVER forget the truth.
Let’s talk about the strip!
Lol Steve Jobs. Lol the true origin of the latest iphone.
Religion vs. Atheism, Hitler, atrocities, blah blah somewhere else please. :/
We all got trolled, <sarcasm>yay!!!</sarcasm>
@ Alex:
I honestly a) don’t think this will make any difference, and b) wouldn’t’ normally even say anything, but people like Dietrich Bonhoeffer, Claus von Stauffenberg, Maximilian Kolbe, Karl Barth, Martin Niemoller, and the members of the Confessing Church were heavily persecuted and in many cases killed because they opposed the establishment of Hitler as the new Messiah in the Deutsche Kirche. Most of the Nazi leadership was fervently anti-Christian, and particularly anti-Catholic. Declaring that Jesus, not Hitler, was the ultimate source of moral guidance was treason. But heck, since the Nazis made positive statements about Christianity in their propaganda campaigns, let’s lump them in as Christians. Huh, wait a second…
“No National Socialist may suffer any detriment on the ground that he does not profess any particular faith or confession or on the ground that he does not make any religious profession at all.” -Rudolph Hoess
>He doubled the workload of the damned, and they were even happy about it!
Really? No one got this reference? Protip: Germans LOVE work.
After thinking about it (and ignoring the other probably interesting conversations here) I think the angels (and god) probably use Microsoft products. At least in this comic here.
God and Satan seem to be more diametrically opposed by nature rather than history. Order vs Chaos rather than good versus evil.
@ AndiJN:
Android of course.
I bet Coyote would just LOVE to get involved….

Is anyone else having a lot of reading trouble where an ad prevents you from leaving the page?
I’ve noticed this before but it’s typically from Expedia and Travelocity and several sites I enjoy have banned their ads because of it. Dyson (yes the vacuum guys) also tend to be attention hogs with their ads.
If everyone could kindly pass this along to as many web artists as possible that would be lovely. I’m sure all of us are sick of “HEY LISTEN! YOU CAN’T LEAVE THE PAGE BECAUSE I’M HERE” Ads so lets get them removed. I’m not doing it because I refuse to sign up with any more social media (I’m looking at Disqus and giving it a rude gesture here) since all they do is spam my email with fake loans, ED meds, and credit “help”. (1000 a day and counting- this is NOT a reasonable number, thank you.)
@ Catheren:
Yes, I’ve noticed that before. It’s one of the reasons why I used an adblocker here before becoming a patron. Another reason for me using an ad blocker in general is the risk of being infected by a virus using ads (happened to me before).
I’m not a webmaster, but from my point of view I’d recommend the ad service Project Wonderful. I’ve whitelisted that one.
