- Larisa: Anything planned for Saturday, Sandy?
- Sandra: Sorta. I want to go to the mall.
- Larisa: Cool. Mind if I tag along?
- Sandra: Nope.
- Sandra: First, I want to go to the superstore to buy–
- Larisa: … ten bags of charcoal to make a giant bonfire with flames so tall it’ll be visible even in the neighboring town?!
- Sandra: –No– a new drinking bottle for my bike. And after that, I want to go to the multiplex and–
- Larisa: … sneak into Rob Zombie’s new horror movie which is so scary and full of sex, drugs and electronic dance music that it received an NC-17 rating?
- Sandra: –No– reserve tickets for the premiere of Moana. And finally, I want to go to the clothing store to buy–
- Larisa: … lingerie which is so sexy that Cloud’s eyes will pop out when I command you to take off your clothes during a game of “Truth or Dare”?!
- Sandra: –YES! Let’s do just that!!
- Larisa: Oh, Sandra! You have no idea how much fun it is to corrupt the innocent!
@ Diamond655:
That opinion I can understand, though I still am of the opinion: live and let live – if the topic is interesting to the people, let them talk about it. But again, I can understand the other side 🙂
THEREFORE I will gladly oblige and discuss the story arc:
– It could be that Sandra evaded her own fate…UNLESS the tech expo happens to also be at the mall or near the mall? (I revisited the strip with the poster of the tech expo, the place wasn’t mentioned. Or I forgot or overlooked something – which might be very likely)
– Or maybe they plan to go shopping but Cloud also asks her to go to the expo so she leaves early from shopping to be there?! And it does not take that long to buy/do what she intends to buy/do, at the most a few hours but not the whole day, so she could still have time left to also spontaneously go there. I think Sandra might not even know about the expo yet so she might hear about it directly in the shopping mall and could decide to go there.
But of course Larisa would try anything to get her away from that kind of idea – might also be because she mentioned sneaking into a movie and buying lingerie or even the typical bonfire – everything would take a whole lot of time to prepare and do! (movie about 2 hours, shopping lingerie – could be prolonged by Larisa etc)

Yes because it it makes normal age appropriate activiy in their peer group
@ CoMa:
I dunno, I still have a feeling God will need to pull out a backup plan. Unless the mall really is that close to the tech expo.
Also, the bonfire would probably be prolonged by Larisa more than the lingerie shopping. Either she won’t let Sandra anywhere near a hose or bucket or anything of the sort, or she’ll just hold onto her arm to keep her there whilst throwing more firewood into it.
Okay, this is off topic but when was it confirmed that Larisa had Wolframs syndrome? And dont tell me it was when she was taking that medicine back when they where exploring the ware house, that was too vague,
I’m glad you’ve found your calling and all Larissa, but just know that if we ever cross paths, I will be contractually obligated to erase your soul from existence by any means necessary.
@ Coolclaytony:
Actually scratch that, The Order’s Modus Operandi does not consider the prior attempts at “demonic corruption” to be vanquishable offenses.
@ 123456:
I believe the comic “Dropping the bomb” had her say “I’ll be blind in ten years and dead in twenty.” And then…Maybe somewhere in this arc, Wolfram’s Syndrome was name dropped?
Satan should get an honorary invite to the cute mark crusaders!
Seriously he really found Larissa her calling in life… or after life possibly…
Hmm. A half a cord of wood makes a better bonfire then charcoal!
@ RJCSE:
The charcoal is just to absorb the several gallons of lighter fluid she adds to the base layer of the bonfire.
I strongly suspect she puts the bonfire under an old tree.
*bursts into flames*
Well, once again the girls are “making things hard” for Cloud…

Not only do I remember being younger but as the writer of one of the other comics
I read puts it in the last frame of this comic…

Being someone who can remember being 13 (and sometimes having the sense
of humor of someone younger than that ^_-) I think the situation in this comic
seems fairly plausible. Oddly although I can remember what it’s like being younger
I occasionally forget why I walked into a room…
@ Diamond655:
That seems logical. God would probably have some kind of back-up plan, it all depends on how everything develops…now I’m honestly really hyped about the development of this story arc.
I excluded the bonfire in the list of activities, because I thought Sandra would be very unlikely to support Larisa in even BUYING anything of the things she mentioned in the third panel. So a bonfire happening would be very unlikely, at least like that. If it is prepared beforehand by Larisa, however, she could just drag Sandra over to it and do as you mentioned to start the fire or keep it going.
It’s part of her homework?
When I was in middle school my homework was Memorizing state capital’s.
wow…i just got here from the beggining and at the end of cours i found a cliffhanger and larisa my fave caracter dont ask why she just is, has a high proabability of death …oaw
@ EnderArk:
Welcome! I hated Larisa when I first started really reading this comic (February2016) but she gets better and more interesting every time she’s ‘on scene’. 🙂
Best pyro ever!
Love the setting things on fire tag here- just as relevant to the comments section as the strip haha. Part of why I love this comic.
ah yes, corrupting the innocent.
New super store in town, Victoria’s secret always 13. It’s just down from the multiplex.
@ MidoriLuna:
My town used to have a general store called “The Store”, a Car Dealership called “The Lot”, and a small diner called “Someplace”.
Yes. She’s got it.@ 123456:

It’s all a matter of finding the right button to push! ^_^
@ keenmaster486:
I understand that and I think that just makes things worse…
@ Bizkit:
Oops, accidentally typed ‘any’ from ‘anyone’ twice.
@ Melkior:
Whoever wrote that is biased, in my opinion… I didn’t obtain any sexual vices until I was an adult… sometime past 18.
@ MatthewTheLucky:
