My guess is that either she just went to the kitchen to get a snack, or she was taken by the pony and now a pawn needs to get to the other side of the board to resurrect her. 😀
I feel like it’s going to depend on the comments here so that Novil can troll us with whatever we didn’t expect. By the way, is there any connection between the comics and whether the number is in brackets. For example, this is 0871 in my RSS feed (as was Quality Journalism) but Dating Tips for Girls was [0866]. Why the difference in my feed but not on the pages?
I want to point out that Woo was standing on the block next to Sanda, and that pony couldn’t take him.
She’s clearly just off the grid on Black’s side or the room-board where the rest of the captured players are.
My guess she is in an alternate universe with her raccoon as they confront two sisters who are conjoined twins as if they are a two headed girl and ask for their help on how to get back home.
There is no Sandra. She, Woo and a number of other characters are simply a part of Richard’s ongoing mental disorder.

Maybe she’s holding out for a raise next season and the Webcomics Actors Guild wouldn’t allow Novil to replace the character.
Sandra is slightly off panel, off the floor panels, that’s what happens to taken pieces in Chess. But don’t worry, if any white pawns make it to the end, they can be turned into Sandra.
Given their positions on the board, Sandra didn’t go to Equestria… she was taken! Princess Luna has checked Sandra out of this reality and into hers! Now, perhaps the Equestrian princesses will be able to show her some moves, and demonstrate how a benevolent ruler should do things. >:=)>
The angels took her to someplace safe since she’s untouchable now.

As a father of a 16y old daughter, this comic strip is a nightmare.
Pretty sure that she is there, playing chess on her floor (the pony = horseknight)
My first guess would be Luna was a Knight that took the queen as the Queen in her last turn walked into the line of the knights attack. If this is 3D Chess it would explain why we do not see a king and why woo is no longer visible. Where do those lost peaces go, What dimension are they in, and who is moving the other peaces? “She really walked right into that one.”

She was on a black square, so she’s in quantum superposition. She just dropped the crown when she underwent the transformation.
Sandra went to Tuchanka, to learn the ancient ways of the Krogan. When she returns, she will bring with her the knowledge of how to charge properly, how to maintain a M-300 Claymore shotgun, and how headbutt any species into submission/death. And of course an alliance with clan Urdnot.
Weeping Angels took them. Richard is likely the next to be taken back into time.

Only the Chess Master can save her from the over worldly Pony Chess. So the Friendship Games have begin.
Nightmare Moon has returned! Possessed Princess Luna! And has now held Sandra and Woo as her hostages!
The horse/knight moved two squares up and one over, like a knight moves, from a white square to the black square where Sandra was. Now only the crown remains by his foot and Sandra is off the board. There seems to be little doubt that she has been drawn back into the games of the “Gods” of this comic. Her untouchable status is being tested, since there are some who really don’t like to lose.
I am not sure where Woo is, but he probably went along, as a talking racoon can’t be left out of the divine happenings. Yuna was keeping Odin-In-A-Box, so would she be part of this story also ?

OMG. I used to own a chess set in a box like that. Mine was made in the Philippines. I haven’t seen one like that in over 30 years. Wow!

The bed in panel 2 looks suspicious.
Don’t discount the possibility that she’s just having a staring contest with the pony in the room.
She disliked the feeling and took off with Woo.

She’s been taken. Richard will have to help Woo defeat Queen Luna to get her back.
In order to circumvent death by circumventing the linear progression of time itself, Sandra is now traveling backwards into the past, and can now be spotted sneaking through the backgrounds of previous strips in you look hard enough.
She took the place of Princess Luna and is having various adventures about friendship?

Judging from the title of this strip, she’s faking her death in order to frame Cloud for murder. Side note: That was a weird book/movie. That ending still throws me through a loop. And don’t get me started on the wine bottle scene.

It doesn’t make any sense that she was taken. It was clearly her turn after the knight moved to that threatening position so she could simply have moved one square forward to force the knight to draw back

Sandra was claiming to be a queen. Luna had to make a preemptive strike and ‘take’ Sandra in order to protect her sister, Princess Celestia’s rule!

Fate had finally caught up with Sandra. Final Destination style, death does not like being cheated and he finally caught up with her.

This is how SandW ends, and begins its successor Larisa and Fire.
Sandra has been escorted by Woo and by several Men In Beige to an undisclosed secure location for her protection.
Odin was hiding in that Luna and now Sandra is trapped in a savage Swedish wilderness, trying to fight her way home through a Valkyrie pageant.
OR Sandra has been turned into a raccoon, and Woo is a human, and they have to defeat the jetpack-wearing degodded demigod realghost of Thomas J God at cliff climbing.
OR Keven has finally turned on Sandra and teleported her and Larissa, (and Woo) to a crude-oil-wrestling competition. Winner gets the cigarette lighter.
Luna ate her, to assert her dominance. Obviously.
Maybe the The Cursed Adventure gets released soon and they are trapped there in computer…
I think that in losing the chess match, Sandra was sent to be made into cupcakes.

Well, obviously, Richard has to play a hard game of chess against whoever controls the evil pony (Yuna?), to free his daughter. Maybe being helped by the trusty pawn Woo.
