[0893] The First Temptation Of Sandra
└ posted on Thursday, 8 June 2017, by Novil
- Sandra: I should have known! The whole thing was your idea! Cloud is innocent!
- Larisa: Cloud innocent? … And that’s where you’re wrong, kiddo!
- Sandra: What do you mean?
- Larisa: Let me explain.
- Larisa: The devil can only tempt you to sin, but he cannot force you to sin. You make the choice all by yourself to yield to the temptation. Therefore, Cloud only succumbed to my sweet charm because all those thoughts were already in his mind. Just like the thought of wearing the lingerie is already in your mind. It’s futile to resist it, Sandra, and you know it. Cloud and you are just two more sinners on this rocky planet in the Laniakea Supercluster.
- Sandra: Goddammit, you’re a friggin’ good succubus!
- Larisa: The best!
@ Threadnaught:
How did you miss that Storyarc where Larissa made a literal deal with the Devil to save Sandra from a Godly death Decree?
That would be a flawless Logic, Larissa. If I could not just follow the same path and say:
“I can only tempt your body with death. It only dies because the design made it fallible and the heart really wants to take a serious break once in your lifetime.”
While you can not manipulate someone to do something against their nature with just one simple conversation, you were still mainpulating Cloud and Sandra to do something the never would have done.
The only question is: Did you do it for benign reasons (helping them to start the whole sex discussion in their Relationship, something they might not be able to start without a nudge) or just to mess with both of them.
@ Christopher:
Wow, that one gained a lot of altitude…

She has already promised position on board of directors. I suspect there is only one higher position – Devil’s own.
And so you noticed…
What most here seems to forget is that <a href="http://www.sandraandwoo.com/2015/09/10/0717-dropping-the-bomb/"Larissa doesn't have that many years left. The disease (Wolfram syndrome) will rob her of many years of life, and she’s kind of in a hurry to experience as much of it as possible while she can. That’s the reason she’s been pursuing Landon so relentlessly. She knows that in a few years at the most her sight and hearing will deteriorate, and she will probably be blind before she turns 20, and dead in about ten years after that.
She doesn’t have a lot of time so she’s doing her best to get Sandra and Cloud to step it up. She want so be able to see them happily together. It may sound selfish and “wrong”, but to her it’s just natural. She knows they love each other as much as kids are able to love, and feels they are wasting time trying to be “good kids”.

150 meters and rising.

The first one, Cloud can not control his desires, but he can control his actions. There’s a good chance Larisa will persuade Sandra to like the gift, but back when Cloud actually made the purchase, the information he had available suggested that this would be an inappropriate gift.
Thoughts are not sins, actions are.
@ Cpt. Obvious:
She wants nieces and nephews to corrupt while there’s still time!
@ athroughzdude:
Although “succubus” isn’t so much of an insult when it’s already been revealed that the Devil is a kinder individual than god in the series. (Although, Odin on the other hand, seems better than both of them… which is generally the case anyway.)
But would he have acted on those thoughts had she not been there to tempt him?
@ asebw:
Depends, are we talking cause and effect or the apparent illusion of free will? Is Larisa a butterfly extending her proboscis or a mortal with otherworldly control over humans?
@ Christopher:
He didn’t, readers were “memory wiped” and he’s playing along 😐 or he legitimately forgot about it, but…
@ MidoriLuna:
Actually those ain’t no definition of sin. Those are just regulations by God. Breaking his regulations is sin. But we humans can practically do nothing else, so he only accepts us through Christ. And thus the sin is that one does not believe in Christ (John 16:9).
Nice comic by the way. Not that I agree with everything in it, but that’s the world for one, is it not?

A logical extension of being a succubus adding greed and power to sex.
Sex, power and money, the triune deity most worshiped in America.
Her brush-off would be more convincing if not going through with it didn’t carry the implication she would set him on fire
Anyone else wanted to see an animated gif of the first two panels?… just me? okay….
