We THOUGHT things were hotting up in #572!
Another thing that should be touched on is the topic of consent, although I think Capt. Obvious did briefly touch on it. It’s one of those things that seems more intuitive than it actually is, and really asking and receiving permission for things is a sign of respect, amongst other things. It’s also about respecting boundaries; getting a firm ‘yes’ or ‘no’ and then respecting that answer is pretty important in a relationship.
There is a lot else that Ye Thuza could have said, even if we assume she is perfectly okay with S&C having sex very soon. Sex has physical, emotional and social consequences. Those consequences can be all from very small to huge and they may be positive or negative. Never having unprotected sex does not cover it all. Granted, Sandra and Cloud’s very good relationship does help a lot in reducing the dangers. Still, yeah, there is more you can say.
I’m still curious about what Richard expected. He obviously didn’t talk this trough with Ye Thuza first and I wonder why he thought that was superfluous.
@ Freezer:
lets be honest, the one doing the talking is always Larisa. ALWAYS.

Who knew that the comments of a webcomic about a girl and a talking raccoon would give people advice on how to talk to their kids about sexuality. I love the internet.
In college I was once given what was billed as “the shortest safety brief ever.” It consisted of my squad leader calling us all together and telling us “pull out.”
That was it.

‘Never have unprotected sex’ Because you will get pregnant. And die.

Um…what about consent? I mean, yeah; safety is important — but what about finding out whether or not your prospective *partner* (emphasis on that word and all implications therein!) *wants* to do it of their own free will and isn’t agreeing to it just to please you? To take a phrase from the BDSM crowd: “Safe, Sane & Consensual.”

That’ll come as news to every woman who had unprotected sex and *didn’t* die…

Well, they’re both “healthy” virgins in a committed monogamous relationship. Now getting them checked wouldn’t be completely ridiculous, just to be completely sure.
But other than that: YES, it is just a question of preventing babies and making sure they’re both okay with what they’re doing.
I’m going to respectfully disagree with Ye Thuza here.
Well, that explains her love life with her husband XD

Because nothing looks better on a pregnant 13 year old than a Nike “Just Do It” T shirt.
@ Walter:
To be clear, I was referring to Ye Thuza’s love life.
But yeah, I think that is one of the worst advertising campaigns. Besides the Gatorade commercials where everyone is sweating Gatorade.
“Never listen to Larisa”
In the first panel depending on where you decide Sandra’s eyes are she has two expressions, sort of like those optical illusion pictures. She either has huge open eyes, the obvious one, or she has her eyes nearly closed and you can treat her actual eyes as wrinkles and she has an almost angry expression.

She’s already told Cloud the most important part: that she’ll cut his head off if he impregnates Sandra before they graduate.
