I posted the first entries submitted for our yearly artwork contest.
- Sign: Couple therapist Dr. Sid
- Sid: So, what’s the problem?
- Echo: He’s so… selfish! He always takes the largest slice of the catch!
- Shadow: That’s only fair! I’m larger than you and need the extra calories!
- Shadow: You, on the other hand, always snag the best bits secretly!
- Echo: Liar liar, tail on fire!
- Sid: I see…. Are there also dissensions in other areas besides food distribution? Like in life planning or in parenting?
- Shadow: We really shouldn’t concern ourselves with such trivialities for now.

well at least they love each other enough for everything else to be trivial

Darn, I thought the previous story arc was gonna keep going for awhile. Oh well…
Twenty bucks says they resolve this by trying to eat Sid.
Maybe it’s just been too long since I saw Sid, but I thought he was a bit smaller than depicted here.
A fox who doesn’t get enough food doesn’t have the strength for family planning or parenting, anyway…..

Heh. This reminds me of an old Mafalda comic (a Spanish-language comic from Argentina). Two kids ask their parents, “Mom, Dad, do you have our upbringing planned out, or are you just improvising?”
They answer – overlapping in the same word balloon – “No, not planned!” “No, not improvised!”
The last panel has the kids sitting together (looking distressed) while the parents argue…
Shadow and Echo did not have three children already?
