- Canopus: A bobcat attacked Arci! And then he fell on a pitchfork!

- Canopus: Vega went to get Sandra. Maybe she’ll know what to do.

What did Woo tell Vega?
I’m getting the feeling Vega can talk too. She might of inherited from Woo.

Woo probably taught his kits to never talk to humans to keep them safe. In this case, Vega obviously has a priority to help her brother, besides she knows that she can trust Sandra

Hmmm… I think I was close with my comment on the previous strip. Instead of woo, it may be vega who talks in front of people.

If Arcturus’ nickname is Arci and Canopus’ nickname is Canopi, then that means that Sirius’ nickname is Siri.

I would have thought “Canopi” too long for a nickname and it would get shortened to “Nopi”.
Vega on the other hand will get a lengthened nickname like “Vegan” cos that’s just how cruel kids (and kits?) can be!

Now the question is who is Vega going to talk to? Might not actually be Sandra!
Is this supposed to be before humans have the ability to clone tissues? Otherwise couldn’t the arm just be replaced? Also, are we not overdue for a 4th wall break?
Does anyone have any advice on starting one’s own webcomic (asking for a friend)?

Not clear if Vega’s crossing the road there, but the implications make me very concerned.

Who is the second alarmed kit in panel 3? Vega has already left and has a lighter mask, and Arcturus is down.

I can’t help but think that Vega would be both faster and less conspicuous running on all-fours.
Like several others have already mooted, I think that Vega has inherited her “daddy’s” ability to talk using human speech, and Woo has warned her not to do so.
I expect that Vega will try to talk to just Sandra alone, but I’m not discounting the idea that she’ll talk in front of Sandra’s dad too, leading to him being “in on the secret”.

But that is outside the scope of this webcomic. We have been told by the Creator that that the death of Larisa won’t be covered. Anyway at the rate this strip moves in our time, I’d be dead anyway.

I’d like to note that Sandra is now 13 years old, which was about the age at which I learned first aid in health class… (for the record: Lily’s thinking is correct; it’s best to leave impaling objects in until professionals arrive.)
So we’ve got 3 possibilities here: Sandra doing first aid, Vega getting hit by a truck, and Sandy South unraveling the mystery. I’m leaning towards the first one, but you never know.

I remember calling it on the previous strip, Woo’s secret is gonna be outed to someone.

She also knows time is of the essence
She also knows she can speak human
Why do i get the feeling she is going to try getting help
Not from Sandra, but from the nearest human she can find.
Depending on how far away Sandra’s house is,
Is Vega going to find Sandra, Sandra’s father,
or the closest house which would be the owner of the pitchfork and garden?
The problem with the last two is the time it takes for the average person
to recover after learning an earth shattering truth.
Some people recover very quickly and adapt to the situation
While others take a longer time to adjust to the new information
Others decide they are on drugs or something and ignore it
And others reject the truth and prefer their previous worldview.
Hoping Vega finds either Sandra or her father,
because he needs to find out eventually, and it would be unfair
for a stranger to learn before he has gotten a chance.

They’re not even at that stage yet, but thanks for the suggestion, I’ll pass it along. I think the question was asking more along the lines of “how does one go about executing the art and/or story of a webcomic?” but that’s mostly my guesswork. I don’t seek personal info either, so please keep that particular stuff to yourself.
That’s an other possibility how this will end. Woo can feel like terrible father for living far from his kits and not taking enough care of them, and he can decide to live in forest from now on

Tumblr + Patreon or similar donation site. Even Jeph Jacques of QC fame ran Alice Grove on tumblr, simply because it’s simple enough to set up and free to host.

I second the tumblr recommendation. It’s more likely to both survive AND stay free than 000webhost.com or any other random webhosting, and at least in start the social stuff would be advantage for the author. Another good option would be deviantart, although that works better for independent images than for comics.
Try kik or something like that. Or a throwaway gmail address.

Woo has a human caretaker, and thus will likely live longer than average for a raccoon (even if he is still half-wild in his lifestyle), and there’s a couple decades before Larissa’s condition kills her – plenty of time for treatments to improve and extend her life further. So guessing when either of them will pass is pretty difficult.
I suspect what daddy said was “Dont go into the city on your own”
Woo was in captivity after all and though we know a small amount to his background we dont know a huge amount as to how he ended up that way.
