[0973] Sandra and Woo Speedrun Panel% New WR 8 Panels by darbian

As written in the comic itself, please feel encouraged to create a speedrun of (parts of) Sandra and Woo of your own. You can send your creation to novil@gmx.de. I will reward the most creative submissions with Bronze/Silver/Gold/Diamond accounts.
- Seeoahtlahmakaskay: You shall be blessed for this delicious offering.
- Larisa: Sandy, may I ask you a question? Woman to woman?
- Sandra: Sure. Go ahead!
- Cloud: There’s also one of those “escape rooms” in our town now. But it’s brand new and there aren’t any reviews for it yet.
- Larisa: Sexy …
@ Charlie Spencer:
Evidently I am too. I’m just here for the comics.
This is beyond confusing. I love it.
Good grief. At least put a spoiler alert on this. I don’t think I’m even half way through this yet and you just spoiled the ending 😛
I get not liking or understanding video game speed running; all you really need to know about it is that one group, Games Done Quick, has raised more than 14 million dollars for charity in the past 8 years; for groups like Doctors Without Borders and Prevent Cancer Foundation.
It looks like Bill Cipher was here 🙂
@ Nix:
its a speedrunning reference and ow people use glitches and bugs to speed through or do usually impossible actions like getting the cake for the raccoon god rather than getting caught
So is that final panel of a married Sandra and Cloud original art for this strip?
Well, way to give away the ending.
I actually do find the last panel to be really adorable. I can’t wait to see it. Though if I had to guess, we’ll have to wait until 2067 before we get that far.
Also, and I’m guessing again, you call this a speed run, but you only got the first ending. Come back when you speed run the true ending.
Wait, why didn’t he end up in minus world?
I thought if you glitched the fifth panel like that and entered the panel before the text appeared, then you ended up in an infinite comic strip with nothing but pictures of Cloud.
I’m surprised he went with the Escape Room injection route… Usually that’s a 9-10 frame time at least! Can’t believe this isn’t tool assisted. I’d like to see the controller input for this sequence, just in case.
Awesome achievement, especially since it’s a full 2 frames less than the WR set by Kosmicd12 just 4 months ago. Will be interesting seeing how he reacts to losing his precious WR!
This is outstanding work! And having it all tie together as a throwback/flashback/flashforward or whatever you wish to call it is a nice way of seeing how far things have come whilst also teasing what is yet to come.
Or not come! Considering all the divine intervention, and otherworldly beings who keep showing up, Sandra & Cloud could end up marrying different people, Woo could be the true inspiration behind Sly Cooper and this entire webcomic could be revealed to be all a dream by Sandra’s Mom who’s still alive.
But those are just some of the most random of guesses/theories and whatnot I pulled out of my head. And considering the comic so far, would any of these be that far-fetched?
All that aside, keep up the amazing work you guys! With #1000 coming soon can’t wait to see how you guys move forward!
Also, damnit Woo, stop messing with the Space Time Continuum!
People who don’t know speed running should just take the 5 minutes it takes to search for and watch a speedrun on YouTube, start to finish. Or the 20 minutes it takes to watch a “How it works” analysis video for a speedrun strat. If you’re reading this comment, chances are you’ve already spent more time than that just reading comments, looking for an explanation.
That said, I like the part where Sanda jumps into Larisa’s word bubble, causing it to glitch. I think most of the glitches shown here could probably be correlated to glitches done in actual runs.
Is the sixth one from here: http://www.sandraandwoo.com/2017/06/05/0892-lip-service/ ?
I start reading Sandra and Woo three days ago and i already saw every episode of this web comic. I think I’m may be addicted

You’ll only get it in bi-weekly doses now, so you’ll stop feeling bad soon.
What is the deadline for the speedruns?
SIL wrote:
No deadline.
But WR speedrun is by kosmicd12 no?
I genuinely don’t get it, but a lot of people do, so that’s fine.

No, this one

She used the superposition glitch. But I don’t understand why she didn’t end up in Minus World.
This is what happens here: http://www.sheldoncomics.com/archive/050903.html
Panel 6 reminds me of the phone in Simulacra (particularly at the end of it).
Oh, Larissa looks soooo pretty in her wedding dress…
Everyone, can’t you see that this is faked? There’s a dialogue splice between panels 3 and 4.
I appreciated the speed-running joke immediately, and I only have tertiary knowledge of the topic. Not to mention, I usually have to research a topic in order to understand some of your jokes.
@ SIL:
That’s actually normal, it’s caused by reader memory overflow.
@ Pylgrim:
Thanks. I mostly go to the comments when I need some obscure injoke explained. Appreciate it.
One day the author will get bored and hire a writer (and this artist) to use the characters and setting to write a conventional story with narratives and character developement Judy Blume-style and it will make milllions of dollars. And be loved everywhere but hated by a core group of original fans.
@ PS2kid:
You were the first person to talk about it. I think it will be the last comic.
Can someone explain the 7th panel ? I still don’t get it.
