With the amount of people who don’t seem to understand and have to complaint about it (i don’t hope to offend anyone who is actually askingn) I wonder if this comics’ audience had gained so many new viewers that either a) have not read through the comic archieve, which clear shows a deep root in referencing gaming (remember that small page of notes that people revognised the music to?) or have a toxic behaviour that many fandoms have. Hopefully we all can still remain civil in the comments. Thank you for reading.
This strip wasn’t too hard for me to get and the last time I played with Mario was in the original Donkey Kong back when it was an arcade game.

Remember this is a comic and the laws of physics differ greatly from the world the comic appears in.
Oliver could have twisted reality and let her bump through the wall to her home or Sandra’s bedroom, besides the characters know they are in a cartoon and probably read the comments.
Notice also.. there’s more tags. One of which being Super Mario 64, a Nintendo 64 game where Mario can jump through paintings, saying “Wa-hoo!” whilst doing so. There’s multiple jokes in this guys.
I took a break from this comic for awhile. I come back, and its just as awesome as before!
Also, one time I accidentally wall clipped in Mario and it cost me the whole level. I WAS RIGHT BY THE FREAKING CHECKPOINT!

And that’s exactly why Speedrunning is only good for a laugh, but nothing you can take serious. Speedrunning a game should show your mastery over the game, not show that you’re the best cheater in the block. If you can’t beat a game legit then you really don’t have any right to call yourself a master.
So if they don’t do a run without any glitches, it really is nothing more than a party gag. Those guys just can’t be taken serious.
