- Zoey: You ruined everything, you stupid moron!
- Gilligan: Yes, hit me! That’s soooo tsundere!
- Zoey: I never want to see you here again!
- Gilligan: That’d be inconvenient. My house is just around the corner…
- Zoey: Is that–
- Gilligan: Yes, a colossal Zoey statue made out of toothpicks.
- Zoey: I– I guess I’m kinda flattered… but scared as well.

So is he into Zoey + Julia, or Zoey in yuri? Because if it is second Zoey should just go full throttle on Michelle…
Yes, I am more and more convinced that the person who wrote twenty e-mails to Novil about giving Zoey a girlfriend was really called Gilligan. 🙂
Zoey, it’s called a restraining order. They’re court enforceable and he’ll just have to deal with the inconvenience =)
Does this guy also have a Zoey pfp and attend the church of Zoey?
Zoey… call the police.
I don’t think you made him extreme enough. People nowadays are so caracaturish and extreme that this barely registers on my “evening news” meter.
You should at least have him sacrificing babies draped in swastika flags to the church of yuri.
I really hope this arc doesn’t end here. I want zoey and Julia to get together!
Um . . . I’m willing to accept this guy just has no clue . . . but please have him get at least one!
@ Jim:
What, instead of calling Gilligan “BAKA!!!!” and hitting him with an impossibly large mallet…? It might just work… >:=)>
Zoe should ask Larissa for help, remember Russian Revenge?

@ Trimutius:
Wouldn’t hurt to at least get to know more about Julia. I don’t think she’s come up in fleshing out their schoolmates before.
Toothpicks? As in, made out of wood? Flammable wood? This looks like a job for Larissa.
@ Rex Vivat:
Zoey’s ego would get in the way… 😆
This guy is dangerous, in multiple ways (and all of them bad)
@ Rex Vivat:
Burnination achieved?
“onward, my minions!”
@ Tomana:
Well it cant really compel him to move elsewhere.
@ Tomana:
She could get a lot of information on how they work from Larisa 😀 Knowing her ever-changing path to school and her map she has extensive experience dealing with restraining orders 😛
Run, Zoey.
RUN!!!
DUDE, it is NOT tsundere if she’s genuinely annoyed for good reason! And how the heck does peabrain not see that he thwarted his own plan?
BTW, I like how the comment section now has Zoey-Michelle and Zoey-Julia shippers manning the frontlines. >:D *grabs popcorn*
Wooden Toothpicks? Wood burns, and Zoey you know some one who loves to play with fire..
And ask that person advice about how to get restraining orders..
Tomana wrote:
And they generally accomplish absolutely nothing, because no law enforcement agency can be bothered to ACTAULLY enforce them.
@ Jim:
Or just Larisa. I guess she knows how to handle a toothpick sculpture.
This guy brings stalking to an art form.
Riccardo wrote:
Sting already did that. “Every breath You Take”, the ultimate stalker song.
I don’t buy it. Gilligan’s a poe.
Most of the dialogue in this sequence has gone over my head. Yuri? Tsundere? Shipper? Never heard of them.
Frankly I find this arc creepy and uncomfortable

Not just a clue x 1. Guy needs to meet a clue-by-four coming the other way.
Does he own a motorbike? I could steal some annoying brat’s scooter. It’d help him really make an impression on the clue-by-four.demarion wrote:

I’ve heard about that problem. Some of the self-enforcing versions do alright, though. Taofledermaus has reviewed several of them, and there are some really effective ones among the chaff.
Toothpicks? Well we all know someone who likes burning things.
Zoey, occasionally there comes a time when the only rational response is to dismember someone with a chainsaw. This is that time.
I would like to second the prescription that many people are making for dealing with Gilligan, to wit:
Larisa and a flamethrower.
As an added bonus, that ought to put paid to that toothpick sculpture right quick too.
Is that an ABBA lyrics reference in the last panel? Clever.
(From Under Attack, in case anyone wanted to know.)
Dear lord, almost every girls nightmare, a creepy stalker in a camera in the bushes.
@ Owen Smith:
To ship” a couple … usually characters in anime or webcomics … is to propose that they would make a good couple in a relationSHIP. Such proponents can become quite vocal. Here Gilliganis acting as a shipper, although he himself is a webcomic character and not a real life Otaku or Weebo.
Here is an amusing AMV on the subject … starring Haruhi Suzuyima as the shipper!

Yuri refers to media depictions of a romantic relationship between two women, usually but not necessarily sexual. The corresponding term for depictions involving two men is yaoi.
Tsundere refers to a person who is initially cold or even hostile to another, but over time develops a romantic interest in that person. Ths can involve both male and female characters … the term does not distinguish gender … and the tsundere can become obsessive in their desire.
Children. How i met your mother Zoey.

But surely lilies are more favorable to the yuri gods…
If Gilligan shipped Zoey with Julie, he wouldn’t be glad about Zoey being tsundere towards HIM, or anyone aside from Julie, for that matter. That’s just not how shippers work. Also, tsundere is actually the bane of shippers, because either they should JUST HOOK UP ALREADY, or they’re actually the WORST match but shoo away all the much better prospects.
In fact, most everything in this page veers very clear of “shipper” and right back into “stalker”.
I mean, even if we keep the weeb terminology, you keep figures of your waifus, not your ships.
Maybe it’s time to point Ruth at Gilligan? (Humans are animals too, after all.)
@ Frederick Newsom:
I think the original tsundere was Lum in Urusai Yatsura.
The original concept was more of a “large print for the reading impaired” girl; Over the top on both ends of the emotional spectrum, both love and hate. With the idea that boys who find women somewhat enigmatic would be attracted to the easy to understand tsundere, who runs hot and cold, but never lukewarm.
Later copycats simplified the concept to merely being unreasonably violent.
@ Walter:
Every toothpick you take…
This guy is just super creepy.
This guy is creepy, infuriating, and most of all, disgusting. If Novil and Powree’s intentions were to make a hateful parody of manga/anime fanatics (not fans, mind you), they did it.
