Richard seems to have found a bar. Indeed he needs a beer now, but I fear that Novil have some other unpleasant surprise in store, beside he lost papers. Hopefully the kind and honest Japanese people will take care of him. From what I have seen of Japanese culture, he will be in good hands.
It could’ve been worse. They were all those relaxing snakes on the plane.
I saw that hidden Asus logo on the laptop! What are you, some kinda sellout? How much did they bribe you to put that tiny amount of exposure in your comic?
This has to be some sort of dream sequence. In the last panel the left half the world it actually missing. I mean that can’t be right.

Point A: No company in their right mind would pay any significant amount of money for #ProductPlacement so insignificant that 93% of the viewership won’t notice it. I don’t even see a laptop, let alone a logo on it. More likely, it was just chosen because it was the nearest laptop logo that could be used as a reference.
Point B: In any medium but live-action – and especially with an art style that relies more on recognizable figures than attention to detail, as S&W uses – a laptop is hard to distinguish from a book or a binder or such. The logo was most likely added to make it clear that it was a laptop, to those who were paying attention to wherever it is.

Is okonomiyaki really written in that weird font? You can hardly make out the yaki. I think there are actually one or two extra lines there.

Those huge fingers above the bar are an indication.

It’s in the briefcase, it looks like a ream of paper except it says “ASUS” on the side. I think your arguments are largely correct, but unnecessary. Even taking into account Poe’s law, It’s highly likely Ravyn was being hyperbolic.
Hopefully this izakaya “kiri” mixes in some shouchuu with the Hoppy, otherwise poor Richard will have to make do with 0.8% alcohol… or is that some sort of silver lining?
It’s like I can hear the “where is my mind” from fight club coming from the strip.

My intent was that the comment be a joke, based on the very fact that was too obscure for most
sanepeople to notice. I’m sorry if it wasn’t clear :/I don’t know Japanese, but I’d say the Japanese text features a lot of kanas and very few kanjis. In fact, that those all-kanas labels don’t seem natural. It would be nice if somebody could translate the Japanese text from the strip.

No, there’s plenty of kanji.
The first two signs says ‘asari’ in hiragana. Not sure what that is, were they going for Asahi (beer) and messed up?
Can’t make out the next, right above his left (to him) shoulder. Right of that, is katsu-kanji, though the katsu is in katakana which does seem odd to combine with kanji. Below that, reversed, is I think okonomiyaki, with standard kanji for kono and ya. Right panel is some unreadable stuff, followed by the katakana for Kirin beer, minus the ‘n’ presumably beyond the border. Also some katakana above the beer mug, I wanna says ‘honbii’

Just out of curiosity, who is taking care of Sandra while Richard is on this business trip? Is she staying with Cloud, or Larissa, or Home Alone 😱?

Did… did he have an Izakaya in his briefcase, or did it just happen to fly open for a moment as he entered the district then presumably he gathered up his papers before continuing on to the bar?
If the former, I want his magic briefcase. I will pay any sum. I will do deeds I thought beyond my ethical limitations!

On the first panels one of the mothers is so immersed in her smartphone, that she doesn’t notice even the snake, what try to eat her… 😀
