I had to look twice, my first thought was the Office Hours was for something French.
Not the first to make this observation, but if this is Richard’s own arc (and his first without any other main character) it might be the time for him to find love again… Well, I am not a shipper (usually) but I wish him good look. A very nice man, he needs someone. 🙂

I’m sure there’s a joking laughing at me, because I don’t see it. Hitomi Saito is a idol / ex-singer / radio personality, and the TV Shows listed for her are Idol Live-Action shows. So I don’t think there’s a direct tie here with a Anime series?

Richard had best hope his boss neither follows the strip nor knows anything about Isekai-Gluon vortices.
The strip shows a classic example of spooky-action-at-a-distance. The PTSD (fatigue and high-intensity soud induced, in this instance) – to – Bar phenomenon is well known.
Even basic knowledge about Isekai-Gluon vortices indicates they originate from Summonings targeting large concentrations of Japanese teens. A quick, back-of-the-envelope calculation shows that to displace a Tokyo taxi, Richard would have to be ride-sharing with at least 5 members of a high school Sumo Club. Given the size of said taxi, I doubt this is physically possible, but if true, Richard would have inevitably been drawn along and thus no longer able to phone his boss.

Yeah, this one’s a bit puzzling for me. The only anime I know with maids in are Black Butler and Black Lagoon. It’s not the former due to a complete lack of homoeroticism and its not the latter because Richard hasn’t been kneecapped with a double barrel shotgun.

Hitomi is from the main character of „Vision of Escaflowne“, Hitomi Kanzaki. I used the name because I really like it.
Saitō is from the Japanese ski jumper Hiroya Saitō. I wanted to use the name of one of the winners of the Japanese team winning the gold medal in Nagano 1998 since Takanobu _Okabe_ was in it: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ski_jumping_at_the_1998_Winter_Olympics

The difference is if the embassy also host the consulate, those are what typically open as they proved th servces most travelers need, embassies are more inter governmental stuff (or buig internation trade companies)
