Don’t worry, Hitomi; I’m sure the cuteness of the kits climbing all over you is transitive.
When dealing with 4 cuties like them. Its ok to not be the most kawaii in the room.

I dunno, Hitomi, the kits are -collectively- cuter, but that’s only one placing. I’m not sure any one kit is necessarily cuter as an individual than-

There’s always the possibility that the differences between the ranks are arbitrarily small.
Is it just me, or might Hitomi have/be developing an inferiority complex?
Look at Sandra. Look at her face. She knows what she’s doing. She’s establishing dominance in this relationship.

If an American-continent racoon is classified as kawaii does that make it also classified as a tanuki?

If anything, that Sandy’s so willing to share her secrets with Tomi, she’s reaching out in happiness because a girl, a new mom, in her life.

So-no, I don’t think she’s mean-spirited or vengeful nor is she trying to be top ‘tanuki’ with Tomi.

Sandra is trying very hard to make Hitomi feel as welcome as possible. Introducing Hitomi to her “inner circle of friends” is part of bonding. Looking forward to the interactions with some of her weirder friends. Will Hitomi freak out when she finds out how much of a madhouse she came into or will she embrace it like she is in some sort of isekai anime?
I want to give the benefit of the doubt, I really do. But I’m struggling to see Hitomi as anything other than an offensive caricature. I understand that it is likely unintentional, but all the same, I’d ask a little more care be taken going forward. Unless this is all a ruse on her part. That isn’t exactly ideal either, but it’s significantly better than her legitimately being portrayed as aligning with quite so many derogatory stereotypes.
Ugh. Hitomi is getting so annoying I think I might actually stop reading the comic if she becomes a permanent character.
i´d be more worried about vega clearly liking her taste 😉

“Kawaii” isn’t an uncommon word, it’s Japanese for “cute”. Same for “sugoi”, which is Japanese for “cool”.
She’s been using several very common Japanese words that A LOT of people who don’t speak Japanese still know the meaning of (mostly due to being exposed to anime, manga and other Japanese content).

the actual “blue moon” will be on Halloween night… a saturday… and a night of the “micro full moon”.
Two of these occurrences are due to the calendar in use:
1> the “saturday” is obvious.
2> a “blue moon” is when 2 full moons occur in one calendar month (oct 1st and 31st, in this case)
3> a blue moon is also when there are 13 ‘full moons’ in one year (true for 2020)
4> a micro full moon is when the moon is close to its furthest range from the earth (true for both October 1st and October 31st) in 2020

I just recently discovered this webcomic. After reading several comics, I am now beginning to like it.
I hope the creator of this comic or someone else makes a kid-friendly (or even condensed/edited) version of Sandra and Woo or even a animated TV series.
Also I have a conspiracy thoery: Woo and his kits are actually related to Rocket (yes, the Marvel character who is may or may not be a raccoon)
Also……how old is Sandy in this comic? I read in some earlier comics that she looked young, like 10-13 young, same with Zoey and Larisa and recent ones that she looked 15-18. Or is it just me?
As your competition contains 4 raccoon kids, that means nothing worrisome, Hitomi-san.
Also, to our dear creator of this comic, Novil: I believe, that the Cast page is in a need of update. Some time ago would be just appreciated, but with Hitomi, it became a necessity.
