Novil are you sure the superstars and lotorsport arent mixed up with the names and the marble art? Given how the masked names are on the other team. Or are those a coincidence ?

Woo, Sly, Bert and Rocket are all famous raccoons. Meanwhile, Sirius, Vega, Pollux and Antares, besides the kits, are also the names of actual celestial objects.
That said… Pollux is the only yellow star of them all, so I’m not sure the art really works, especially considering how in an actual track they’d be really hard to tell apart from the Speedrollers.
oh man this is so cute. Richard is really quite lucky. his daughter and girlfriend got him a birthday present that brings out child-like glee in him. and considering what he does for a living, which is a very stressful job, having something like this for himself is such a nice thing Sandra and Hitomi did for him.
As someone with no interest in marble-related activities but visual interest in the marbles themselves, the visuals of these marbles are amazing.
As far as coming up with a themed marble team goes… I think I can contribute.

To head off the obvious question of why I used these particular Eidolons: I’m assuming based on the artwork shown that the members of a team must all be the same colour if not visually identical, and all four of the active team members are associated with the colour pink at some point in XIII-2.

The marbles are cool and all, BUT I WANT TO SEE THE TRACKS. There are a lot of cool track names.

I was also expecting gag thing that the present will be actually not cool for Richard. I was hoping it won’t. I am so glad it’s that way.
I’m guessing that (m) means male and (f) means female, but what does the (w) mean in ‘Flower Power’?

Another thought on that lines, shouldn’t the Superstars’ home track be Elliptical Circuit instead of circular? Yeah, most of those are blue stars so those marbles should look more like a pretty solid florescent blue.

Shared this with a friend who enjoys marble races as much as Richard does. They offered the following team idea:
Team idea. Fruit Roll’ems…. white marbles with colored swirls….. names would be fruit puns
All the team names are great. It’s hard to improve on them. The name of a team that just seemed to roll out was “The Wholly Rollers”…

With closer inspection, Flower Power, Superstars, MeowCEdes, MathMen and Laren are the only ones that don’t have friends. And even Winlanders with their social distancing have friends, which is a bit strange.
In Flower Power’s case I wonder if it’s the pollination. Although in that case we would need a new team called “Street Dust”.

As a personal note, my first few names felt off, so after double checking the data online; I realized they weren’t even solid state mater. Spent a few hours rechecking everything else I knew about explosive ordinance to find 4 items that would make it down the marble track but still go boom within reasonable conditions. Hope it was worth the laugh if nothing else.Honour the legend, have a Red Number 3 team called the Red 3s
