I believe this awesome strip was worth the waiting time!
- Caption: It’s the year 41023 A.D. A few years ago, the Imperium of Man was on the verge of collapse as the orks were only four light years away from the Sol system. But the fortunes of war have turned once again…
- Orc #1: She koming!
- Orc #2: Gork help us!
- Orc #1: Dat woman iz not human! Always know wot da ork will do! She pure chaos, but she work for da imperium! It iz no fair!
- Orc #1: She da here!
- Orc #2: WAARGH!
Fire-obsessed sister of battle in power armor? Nothing noteworthy about that.
Afab cog-bro with surprisingly few mechadendrites riding a battle-servitor? Unusual, but nothing heretical.
But there is not explanation for that thing with the pink and the hearts, that isn’t Slaaneshi.
OMG Hitomi.
We need poses of these three (four?)
Isn’t Warhammer 40k that franchise that was originally made by some progressive socialist Brits and that started out as a satirical work meant to demonstrate how and why fascism, libertarianism and Margret Thatcher’s brand of neo-liberalism are all inherently unsustainable but that then attracted so many stoops who failed to realize the satiric irony of the franchise and took all that “hail the empire of of man” seriously so the fandom now consists to no small part of actual fascists?
As a devout servant of the Omnissiah I am interested in examining Sandra´s mount.
Otherwise – Of course Larisa would be of Vulkan´s lot…
As far as Hitomi… to quote inquisitor Greyfax… While all flames of the heresy need to be doused, some burn with more urgency then others…
They are playing the game right? And abuse the save/reload function ^^
@ noname:
I hope your joking. The implications otherwise would be impolite to mention.

Well – she was supposed to be the greatest ork there is – Ghazghkull Mag Uruk Thraka…
but more or less – however since it quite changed.
But quite frankly in a setting where one species can belief up ammo for their guns the notion of “unsustainable” is bit ludicrous by itself 😀 😀 😀
and where Tyranids eat galactic arms for lunch…
Since then it was developed into a nightmare of Authoritarian Imperium which is more of theocratic oligarchy (12 High Lords, Imperial regent and Inquisition try to impose rule on authority of “God Emperor” (who actually never liked the notion of being deified) to point he delegated all authority away – to Horus, to Malcador, to Administratum, to planetary governors, to Senatorum Imperialis)…
(and rather focused on things like getting Imperial webway working – so human psykers could be moved into it, beyond reach of chaos, removing the monopoly of astra telepathica on warp navigation by said webway, (mechanicus actually has like dozen ships that can go FTL without warp like necrons – but they dont know how to build those anymore and they keep that as secret even from Highlords and grandpa smurf)
while it may have been a parody of fascism long time ago, it really isnt anymore.
and while there are certainly fascist planets in the imperium (like there is million words with virtually utter autonomy of government providing they pay tithes, prevent chaos corruption, and stop genestealers… and hand over psykers to power the Astronomicon (without which there will be no real warp travel and free for all for everyone else- Ork, Eldar, Tyranid, Necron, Chaos) Imperium could not care less how any planet is governed – mostly because it has neither time nor resources to enforce that)
authoritarian state is a required prequesite for fascist state for sure, but not all authorian states are fascist.
Fascism is in essence an ideology that deifies state, and submits everything to the state.
That simply isnt the Imperium… like even Switzerland is more centralized state then then Imperium of man is… and thats the loosest confederation on this planet.
Last panel as poster material, Pretty please?
Did you mean this woonderful strip?
Dead hello kitty breast plate 💚
Hitomi: In the grim dark future of Hello Kitty, there is only war
@ noname:
Nah it’s the feanchise whose goal is, always was and always will be to seel overpriced plastic models, but for some reason, everyone likes to project their political views into it.

Space marines are pretty cool, though.
Gork won’t save you from this. Try not to burn all the little cardboard buckets for the KFGretchin.
The fans of WH40k have their own approaches to paining their figurines. I’d like to think that the three girls started with three identical suits of power armor, and Sandra decided that she’d rather ride on top of an armored Woo.
@ Novil:
Do you not actually know the original writing intent of it?
So i take it in this version they fixed the geneseed bullshit? Because that remains kinda dumb.
“No girls allowed, they are yucky”
The Manly Manperor of Mankind on lady SPESS MEHREENS.
The Inquisition would like a pur- I mean a word with you Hitomi.
Whoah, we waited 38102 years!
To anyone who watched Kids Next Door, Hitomi’s armor reminds me of Numbah 3’s Bunny mech.
And thinking of that specifically reminds me of the episode Numbah 4 went to a girl’s school and the KND attacked it and the girls tried to use a girlification ray on said bunny mech, but it wasn’t affected because it was already inherently feminine.
But also a kickass mech.
Just a random memory from my youth.
Larisa’s seal of approval!
Flamethrowers are not only present in the game, but prominently featured as one of the most common weapons.
Immediate DMCA from Games workshop, as this violates their new Fan Work Policy.
I imagine this picture will inspire people who create their own custom 3D printed minis. 🙂
Lawsuit from GW coming in three… two… one…
Birion wrote:
Satire. No chance in hell for a lawsuit.
…the Orks should be -happy- about this.
@ Arent:
Tell that to TTS
Arent wrote:
Doesn’t mean they can’t try.
Does DMCA apply here?
@ Arent:
Hey GW just 2 weeks ago completely nuked any concept of fan animation.

Well that the gene seed kills you when you dont have Y chromosome? Thats still there.
Malcador actually complained about it to Perturabo – that he though Emperor should have made sisters to primarchs to reign them in a bit, but alas I quess Emperor found notion of making primarchs too difficult already.
but you dont actually need geneseed to operate powered armor. The armor is just dummer without the black carapace organ and its a mechanical reaction system rather then neural one. So its inferior to space marine one.
But Mechanicus can build those.
@ Paeris Kiran:
I wonder if GW ever considered to sue Blizzard, since Warcraft “borrowed” heavily from the Warhammer universe.
as a long time Tyranide player, I approve of Warhammer40k content.
Flamer, plasma, melta… So many tools for Larisa to chose from.

A man of culture I see ^^
I was thinking along the same lines here
Whatever happened to the Grey?
How did Larisa escape?
Did she set the ship on fire?
For the Emperor! The Planet Broke before the Guard!
Careful that GW doesn’t come for you with a C&D
@ I smell heresy:
Yes, Blizzard and J.R.R. Tolkien 😉
Ok Larisa and Hitomi look decent enough but Sandra looks like a spark escaped from girl genius
Oh no TTS is gone, I’ll just go look at the new strip aaaaand welp.
Wallpaper size for the last panel… Please, Please, Please : )
Nicely done.
Larisa not tagged?
@ I smell heresy:
No case really, GW was working with Blizz on a game but GW bowed out at the last moment. Blizz decided to run with it.
Larisa is missing from the tag lisy
@ noname:
That doesn’t compute. Leaving aside that I see no evidence of the claim about the game historically (which all evidence shows was about as capitalist a creation as you can get), fascism is a *form* of socialism and thus diametrically opposed to both libertarianism and “neo-liberalism” (which is really just a scare word for good old liberalism as it meant in the classical sense, or conservatism as it’s called in the US). In addition, while fascism fortunately never lasted long enough to see if it was sustainable or not, socialism sure did, and the verdict is in on that, and it ain’t good. Sustainable? Glass houses!
@ argentlupus:
Even that’s actually an urban legend that overstresses the connection. According to the producer of Warcraft one Blizzard cofounder wanted to make a Warhammer game, but everybody else wanted to do their own fantasy IP instead and they had been burned by DC so they didn’t even pursue GW. The original Warcraft is pretty generic, lore-wise, and has more in common with LotR and DnD than Warhammer fantasy.
It’s pretty much a known pattern at this point that GW, and the more toxic branches of their fanbase, will constantly lay claim to anything and everything ripping off their IP even when the ideas, and sometimes the very thing they’re claiming is a ripoff, existed well before GW did them.
@ Nachum:
Where on earth did this idea that fascism is a form of socialism come from? First of all, fascists HATE socialists. Name a single fascist movement in history, and I guarantee it targeted socialists for attacks and purges. Second, fascists virtually always actively opposed socialist policies, and actively rolled them back once in power. Women’s rights? Worker protections? Public education? Wage increases? Worker’s ownership of businesses? Nope, nope, nope, and nope. Fascists and socialists aren’t the same thing, they are diametrically opposed. Including the name “Socialist” in a party’s name doesn’t make it socialist any more than including the name “American” in a company’s name makes it patriotic. That’s PR plain and simple.
As for the idea that Fascism could have been sustainable: some fascist movements may have been, but the most militaristic versions were not. Nazi Germany famously spent itself into the ground during the 1930s, to the point that by 1939 the government was staring insolvency in the face. Conquest wasn’t just an ideological necessity at that point, it was a financial one. Only by stealing from the rest of Europe could the Nazis hope to stave off bankruptcy. Much the same was true of Imperial Japan; by 1941, they had sunk so many resources into the military that conquest was the only way they could keep the lights on. Rampant militarism, it turns out, is not good for the economy: every dollar spent on munitions, guns, and wargear is a dollar lost to the wider economy.
I recommend looking into TimeGhost History for a look into fascist economics and the differences between socialism and fascism. They run brief by highly detailed video histories of the WWI, WWII, and the interwar years.
David wrote:
Kuba, Venezuela, Sowjet Union – they were/are all militarist dictatorships, police states.
The question is why socialism always ends up in militarist dictatorships – whether you call them fascist or not doesn’t make any difference – that exploits workers far more than admittedly capitalism does as well.
And thr reason is because the socialists have not been able to come up with a government that is able to run their planned society without becoming corrupt and exploitative.
Confirmed Novil is a 40k fan. This pleases Tzeentch.
Would be cool to see what a Skaven-ized Woo would look like.
@ Paeris Kiran:
I mean, I figured the team were space marines in that pic, not just randos in armour.
